Date: 2011-06-17 07:47 am (UTC)Jin has definitely made quite an impact on Kame. Kame is definitely the most captivated by Jin, much more than Tatsuya or Takuya. Jin brings out different sides and desires in him too it seems. Kame wants to do things with Jin that he normally doesn't care for, or particularly like, yet with Jin it's perfectly fine. He's also trying very hard to find out what exactly Jin likes, what drives him crazy, even though the likes and needs of the escort do not really need to be addressed.
I think that both of them did more talking with each other in this chapter than all the other chapters combined. Especially Jin, even though it wasn't exactly what you would call 'conversation.' Things are developing, although not entirely sure for good or bad yet.
I am so interested to see how their relationship develops, and more than curious as to what is motivating Jin at this moment. I can't wait to compare (when we finally get there) the first and last chapters, and see how things evolved.

It's funny, it hadn't really occurred to us that this is the first chapter in which they talk a lot. Yeah, whether it deserves the name of 'conversation' is debatable.

Part of it obviously could be Jin's gorgeousness, which is plentiful, but yeah there's something more there too. Again, I am definitely aware of distinct LACK OF INFORMATION here.... T_T

Hm, no, at this club, it's a bit like first come first served? Unless, of course, someone pre-booked an escort. And standard politeness applies, of course -- it would be rude to aggressively hit on an escort who is clearly engaged elsewhere!
Tsubasa went exclusive with Takki for a while, before he stopped altogether, so that is possible. But that was really exclusive and a special agreement, not Takki having first dibs whenever he happened to be there.

Okay, I read this a few hours ago but took this long to ahem, compose myself. I love how psychological your writing is, despite it being essentially about sex. It's like the layer underneath is a battle of wills covered by this thin veneer of the physical interplay. This is probably the most we've heard Jin speak during the whole fic so far, and even if he is lying (it's hard to tell but Kame seems convinced and Jin's not that good of an actor) his real persona is peeking through. Conversely, it's interesting that Kame isn't concerned anymore with Jin behaving professionally.. he wants those honest, unrehearsed, fumbling answers and reactions and it looks like when he gets them he almost can't handle them. In the beginning it's firmly Kame in control and by the end the reins of power have switched to Jin, without his even fighting for it. This is probably the first time Kame has treated Jin like a person and not just an object. Some progress!
something is happening to Jin's body, all those tense lines unravelling, loose now and lost. AJLKDAJLFAHLALAK OMG, SO HOT. *chokes*
Then Kame has to go and spoil it all with his power play. ARGHGHHHH
Jin's body warm and tame between his legs as need and drive stutter away in helpless little shocks. *wibble wibble*
This is the most open and honest either of them has been and I love how it effects both of them so much. Kame especially seems extremely vulnerable and I'm wondering where this will lead. Can't wait for the next chapter (in which I'm hoping we get Jin's POV ;))
LOVE THIS: He doesn't know what it is, only those eyes, and the high forehead, almost square with all hair brushed back and dark strands just curling at the edges, and it's wrong, it's like vertigo, lengths and depth and time jarring and messed up, and he can't stop staring... Battle of wills is a really nice way of putting it - thank you for that! :-) We're not sure that that which you call 'progress' is what Jin would call 'progress', but you're totally right that something has shifted.
You will definitely get Jin's POV on this. He has very pronounced opinions. As for where it'll all lead, well, that's complicated.

It was different from the other times they were together. I think we profit from the fact that they take it slow this time and are together all night.
Kame has some sort of fixation on Jin. Like he's curious about Jin behind his facade now... he suddenly cares for what Jin likes because there seem to be triggers to bring Jin out of his cold shell. And Kame was so close.... and broke it (ugh!!!). I hope he'll manage to bring it back in the next chapter because I loved how they seemed to close all of a sudden and Jin kinda let go of all this tension... Like the walls they both had built around themselves started to crumble. It's a very powerful moment when Jin starts to lose himself in the movements and begs for release. It's like the border between prostitute and client vanished for a short time.
Kame is confused. But not confused like he was the other times. Even though he keeps telling himself that all this is an "exception", he definitively feels different about Jin. It almost seems like they found some common ground now. And I hardly doubt he can let go of Jin anytime soon... I still wonder where Kame's need for domination comes from anyway. But I guess we will hear more about their past in future chapters? :)
And OMG I knew Kame would ask him to say what he likes and turn the game around before I even read the chapter :O I didn't expect it to happen so soon but it did! Of course Kame is very good at imposing his own will onto Jin in the process anyway. The psychological "war" between them is so intriguing. xDD
He hears the click of the lock, at last, and turns. Jin, a towel wrapped around his hips, is approaching with measured steps as Kame rises and turns to tell him—
It hits him like a wall. Like a wave of water, hard and boiling and sucking him under and... he can't stop staring, and he can't move, and he can't breathe. He doesn't know what it is, only those eyes, and the high forehead, almost square with all hair brushed back and dark strands just curling at the edges, and it's wrong, it's like vertigo, lengths and depth and time jarring and messed up, and he can't stop staring...
that's my most favourite part.... let's face it, Jin IS really gorgeous and imagining him in a towel and wet hair brushed back...That's really a sight! So I can't argue with Kame... it would take my breath away too ;))
There was definitively some progress in this chapter. Very intense. Looking forward to the next update :)

We were a bit worried about this chapter because Kame surprised *us* with how far he pushed the envelope, and, well, we are glad people didn't hit us over the head for it! :-) You are right that things are stirring now, and we're happy the new developments are interesting!

Hey, we'll go for both! We're hoping we have set up his past well enough to make his response to Jin plausible, but admittedly, half of that isn't really 'out there' in the story yet, except in hints here and there. (Because Kame kind of tries to avoid thinking about it, and he's a master of repression.)
Yeah, force is so... inferior to a really good mindfuck. ;-) Not sure we could say Jin *liked* it better, but he certainly responded more to it. :D
