It's so hard to think. Hard to keep the images separate, everything is running into everything else, everything is bleeding.

Thank you for commenting!

Date: 2011-06-30 09:16 am (UTC)Poor Jin, what must he have been thinking, seeing Yuuya and Kame together...
It's good he apologized to Yuuya and wanted to clear things with Ootomo but Jin would be the person who deserves it most. But that makes it most difficult for Kame I guess.
The last part was so unneccessary (not writing it, for Kame and his 'path') but yes, Kame thinks so, too, I guess.
So Jin looks like his ex who messed his live up, obviously. I'm so happy he finally sorted that out and I hope it'll make him act more aware now, tryin not to fuck things up further even though I doubt it'll help more misunderstandings to happen.
If I were Jin, I'd think all the apologizing to Yuuya and talking to his bosses is just another of his crazy mind games and would probably distrust him even more because it's inscrutable.
Kame; better explain yourself before things get worse!^^
In the end, I doubt Kame really made things better with Ootomo and Konoe, they already see him that he's in a 'weird state' and I don't think this talk really changed it.
Now waiting a week again, it's killing me!

And you're totally right, of course, Jin would deserve an apology far more than Yuuya, but he's also the one harder to talk to, for Kame.
It's all so messed up, we don't know how that happened!
(We love this comment, btw. Love love love.)
And yeah, he did not see the freebie coming. But hey, they were trying to be nice! relax him! most of their clientele would have been very appreciative!! *g*
You have some really great insights in this comment about both of them, we were so yay about it. (But we don't want to spoil you or we'd say more about that!) Thank you so much, and we hope next week will be, uh, fun as well!

Date: 2011-06-30 02:12 pm (UTC)If I tried to quote back the parts that were simply brilliant and blew me away, you'd basically be re-reading the whole chapter again and that's silly cuz you wrote it and there's no need for that. But omygosh the scene where Kame's THINKING and REMEMBERING is so superbly written; it was so easy to picture, like watching an anime where they go into a flashback and there's static and memories and real life all mixed together. You two are so good.
So Kame wanted Jin because he looks like his ex, although he didn't seem to notice it until he finally saw Jin with his hair pulled back from his face. I can see why you inserted the descriptions of Jin hiding his eyes behind his hair now. It was more important than just a description.
I feel so bad for Kame in this chapter. The poor guy is just freaking out inside and has no one to confide in or help him. He's been through so much already, probably more than you're even hinting at, and he just seems so vulnerable in this chapter. I'm more often feeling bad for Jin, since he has the more openly bad situation, but Kame needs comfort just as much as Jin.
I don't think Kame's been with anyone else since his first time with Jin, am I right? (his wife maybe...? you guys haven't given much info about that..) And he was already feeling so messed up inside; he can't have enjoyed his time with Tadayoshi. I had been hoping he would run into Jin again before he left, if there's anyone he needs to talk to and sort things out with it's Jin. Yuuya, yeah, Ootomo, sure, but Jin is the big one.
Kame finally seems to be realising that his behavior has been rather odd, not like him at all, and is really feeling bad about it. Talk to Jin, Kame. Seriously.

Date: 2011-07-02 01:38 pm (UTC)We're very glad that what's going on in Kame's mind in this chapter worked so well for you; it is, for obvious reasons, rather crucial, so it would have been bad if that'd been boring!
We feel bad for Kame too. Okay, so, um, we're not entirely innocent of the state he's in, but still.
The poor guy is just freaking out inside and has no one to confide in or help him.
Yeah. >.< It's funny, we never thought to put that in *explicitly*, but it is basically where he ends up, yes. Poor (though sometimes slapworthy) guy. You're right that Kame could do with some comfort too. (After the slaps, maybe.)
No, Kame hasn't been with anyone else at the club since his first time with Jin! Well-spotted. He did have sex with his wife, at unspecified but semi-regular occasions -- he actually makes an effort to not make her feel like he's not interested in her, but in his head that is totally different from the sex at the club.

Yeah, he really should, shouldn't he... ♥

Date: 2011-07-03 05:17 pm (UTC)Yes, Kame is sometimes slapworthy, but I'd like to think that will change soon. We seem to be reaching a turning point. Then no more slaps, just the comfort^^
It would be interesting to see how Kame sees the difference between being with his wife and being with the escorts. His relationship with his wife is something that is only sometimes touched on and it would be intriguing to see Kame's thoughts on that.
Um yeah. He should. Apologize to Jin. Now Kame. *crosses arms*

Date: 2011-06-30 08:15 pm (UTC)Oh god, he's breaking my heart this chapter. Kame, pull yourself together honey! Being
trappedin his POV felt like being in the mind of a wounded animal... he's so bewildered and disoriented by his own feelings and memories, and paranoid about everyone else's thoughts. Ironically, this type of breakdown is what I was anticipating when he went in to the bath during his stay with Jin. Except it hit with a bit of a delayed reaction. I did always think his intense attraction/repulsion to Jin went deeper and farther back than we knew and now you guys tell us it's tied up with this dark, mysterious, tragic first love Kame had and omg, poor baby, seeing ghosts everywhere. *sobs* The scene with Konoe and Ootomo is especially telling because he seems so out of his depth, like he's lost his bearings from his own mind's revelation about what he was doing unconsciously enough that he can't even put up his usual professional front. The one place he could even let his guard down a little and show a fraction of his real identity doesn't feel safe anymore. There was something claustrophobic about the chapter and I'm sure it was completely intentional and I'm letting you know it worked. :( Kame. :((((no subject)
Date: 2011-07-02 01:39 pm (UTC)Oh god, he's breaking my heart this chapter.
*evil cackle*
um. sorry. we are very contrite.
But, seriously, this is a wonderful comment. You pick up on so much stuff, from the feeling of being trapped and the paranoia and the safe space being gone.
The scene with Konoe and Ootomo is especially telling because he seems so out of his depth, like he's lost his bearings from his own mind's revelation about what he was doing unconsciously enough that he can't even put up his usual professional front.
Yeah. Pretty much that. He can't even trust *himself* any more. He was not doing well at all there, and... poor guy.
(Poor guy who was REALLY MEAN to Jin, but still.)
Thank you for letting us know we succeeded at making you very unhappy, it always feels good to know our work hasn't been in vain.

Date: 2011-07-02 05:41 am (UTC)It seems like Kame has a really sad past. And I am eager to know what it is. He seems really hurt. And he seems to be forcing Jin to react and behave in a manner Souji did with him when they are together.
And even though it seems like Kame is at fault for acting out, (Yuuya is only 18???!!! Poor Yuuya, he must be scarred.) I don't know why but I feel Jin has a role to play. He has yet to lash out at Kame, yet to tell out his true opinion to Kame. And he is willing to accommodate Kame. I am not sure it is really possible for Jin to turn Kame down but why hasn't he?
Its good that you wrote the threesome from Kame's view. If it had been Jin's or Yuuya's view, I might end up hating Kame. Now I just feel Kame is so troubled and needs major comforting. :( No wonder he finds it so difficult to go to the club and mentions how he has nowhere to go. Cause he himself knows its not healthy to meet Jin and yet he can't avoid the one place he feels comfortable.
But Kame isn't a bad person. If not he wouldn't have apologised to Yuuya. And as much as I hope Kame doesn't interact with Jin since he acts out and ends up irrational that would be totally bad for us readers. Oh how is this going to end up and what is going to happen to akame?
Thanks for sharing and looking forward to the next one.

Date: 2011-07-02 01:40 pm (UTC)Ha ha, so our POV planning worked. We're happy that you can feel with Kame even though he's behaving like an asshole. No, he's really not a bad person, just a very messed up person, and Jin's not exactly undamaged, either, and then they get together and rub each other up in the worst possible ways, and...kaboom. :)
Jin definitely has a role to play. :D A complicated, messy role, but... yeah.
Thank you for commenting, and for letting us know that Kame hasn't lost all your sympathy.

Date: 2011-07-07 08:36 am (UTC)I wonder how things will continue now that Kame hates himself for even considering Yuya, for sleeping with someone who looks like the ex who maybe nearly destroyed his career, and can't imagine being with Tatsuya, and has problems getting it up with Tadayoshi, because he's so shaken and confused... Very insightful, interesting chapter; I'm looking forward a lot to today's update! ♥
