"Is that— do you do that for work?" Tomo asks, sounding curious and friendly.

Date: 2011-07-21 10:26 am (UTC)I enjoyed the slightly more detailed look into Jin's family and personal life too. I'd be more specific if I wasn't so tired right now and if things were going easier in life, but I did want to let you know that I enjoyed it nontheless. :]
"He never has to put up with Kamenashi's weird issues again, doesn't have to wonder what makes him so goddamn special that Mr Harmless And Vanilla brings out his crazy just for him."-- I love Jin's thoughts about Kame's current state of insanity. Mr Harmless and Vanilla; That's great.

Date: 2011-07-21 08:23 pm (UTC)We're sorry to hear life's being a drag. >.< We hope that's temporary? And we definitely appreciate you dropping by here regardless and leaving us feedback! Enjoyment good! Makes us proud. :-)
Kame is TOTES Mr Harmless and Vanilla. How can you doubt it?
Take care, and good luck with the hassly bits!

Date: 2011-07-21 11:26 am (UTC)ehh??
Tomo is Yamapi, right?
Waiting for the next^^

Date: 2011-07-21 08:23 pm (UTC)Yes, Tomo is totally Yamapi! There can be no story about Jin's life without a Yamapi in it somewhere.
Hope you enjoy the next one. :-) Thank you for commenting!

Date: 2011-07-21 11:45 am (UTC)Again, I like Jin's new confidence, that he's getting over his fears and somewhat facing them (even if it's just out of money reasons).
So Kame decided to come clear as well. I can't even begin to imagine how things will go but trust me to come up with a gazillion scenarios unil next week (that, I bet, all prove to be wrong).
But I guess poor Jin has it worse, having to imagine all scenarios for himself until then.
Damn, I'm so glad I'm buried in work to get over the long wait. So anxious!

Date: 2011-07-21 09:50 pm (UTC)I guess that was what made me so surprised that, in the end, he did after all! ^^
SO intrigued! Want. To. Know. Now! ;P

Date: 2011-07-21 08:24 pm (UTC)You're right about the money reasons, they play a big part for Jin. If it wasn't for the money, he would have quit before his second Kamenashi date. He wants all the money he can get, quick, so he can get out of this job. :-) And it totally helps his confidence to have management backing him.
Ha, we'd love to know what your scenarios are. Ours is already set in stone, we just need to put the last commas in and take the last italics out. ;-) But it could have gone So. Many. Ways.
HEEEE, we make you glad to be buried in work! We are GOOD FOR MORALE! *insert giggly authors here*

Date: 2011-07-21 10:03 pm (UTC)I'll let you know if my mind drags me into an exceptionally weird scenario but maybe I'll try to keep myself at peace until I get to know how it really goes, just so I can keep focus^^

Date: 2011-07-22 07:00 pm (UTC)You mean, like Kame? ;-)
Well, okay, Jin isn't so keen on Tomo finding out what he does for a living, that's a fair point. *g*

Date: 2011-07-22 10:35 am (UTC)Loved him opening up to Tomo a bit and thinking of Yuuya as a little brother.
Only found this story recently but I'm totally hooked, it's so well written. Can't wait until the next chapter to see how the apology goes - totally awkward for both of them I'm sure lol.

Date: 2011-07-22 06:56 pm (UTC)Jin's decision could have gone the other way, we do see that. But management being on his side really makes a difference, and the money is a LOT, and he needs it.
Glad you liked Tomo! We like him too. :-) He's good for Jin. (As is Yuuya, in a slightly different way.)
Thank you very much for saying hi and commenting! It's much appreciated, and we're glad you're enjoying. Hope next week won't disappoint! ;-)

Date: 2011-07-22 11:02 am (UTC)But I read the new update today and I really really loved it. It's my most fav chapter so far! So I wanted to write at least a short comment and let you know :)
I like how all the boys in the club get along and the background info on Jin and his friendship with Tomo <3 glad he found the courage to tell him things.

Date: 2011-07-22 06:56 pm (UTC)Things are slowly getting better for Jin now, and having Tomo as a friend will be a big help. We hope things will get better for you soon, too! Take care! ♥

Date: 2011-07-23 04:34 am (UTC)I am very intrigued by Jin’s past. What could possibly have turned Jin into a whore? Though he’s estranged now, he must have had a really nice relationship with his dad. And Jin’s ex, how does he look like? Better looking than Kame? Since we know more about Kame’s background now, I am extremely curious to know about Jins’.
Thanks for sharing and looking forward to the next one.

Date: 2011-07-23 08:12 pm (UTC)We're glad you like the direction this is going. There is definitely a shift now, things are moving. We also totally agree with you on what it would take for them to have a relationship; the fun is in seeing whether they're able (or at the moment, willing!) to get there. *g*
Naoki was good-looking, if not as good-looking as Kame, in our opinion. Jin thought he looked great. (But Jin was also in love, he's not the most reliable witness.) As for how Jin got to be a whore, well, that's kind of a long story... but bits will become clear later, too. :-) Things with the dad were complicated for a while, though.
Thank you so much for commenting! We always look forward to that, too. ♥

Date: 2011-07-24 08:38 am (UTC)I also wanted to know, when did Kame make his foray into the entertainment industry(since he's 25 now, and that feels rather young to me)? I realize that this probably is intrusive and personal, but I've been dying to ask you: How and why did you guys come up with the idea for this story? I mean, why a whore!fic? Because it's so entirely different from the rest of your work.

Date: 2011-07-24 06:25 pm (UTC)Career footnotes: Kame started acting when he was fifteen, but in supporting roles. He first got noticed as a Freakin' Good Actor when he was seventeen and starring in an independent production, and when he was 19 he got the lead in an action/romance that turned into a runaway hit and that basically made his career; everything he's done since has been incredibly popular and incredibly successful. Is the short version. :-)
As for your question about how we got started writing whorefic, that's not intrusive at all! We are happy to talk about this stuff and in fact sometimes have to stop ourselves so we don't go on and on. :-) We actually both, um, kind of like whorefic; or certain kinds of whorefic, anyway -- the in-character kind, which can really lead to length -- and this universe isn't even the only one we've ever plotted out for the fun of it that deals with whorefic themes. (Only the one we really turned into an actual *story*.) You can actually read about the metaphorical moment of conception here (http://users.livejournal.com/solo____/186410.html) -- it's the conversation that Started It All. (Literally! So not everything that is in that conversation is now reflected in the story. But since you asked, we thought it might interest you.)
If you don't mind a return question -- in what sense was it entirely surprising from our other stuff? We do know that or other stuff has a higher fluff ratio than the whorefic to date and we always knew the whores were kinda different (see: our epic warnings and notes page, which we never felt the need to do before, either), but apart from... oh, is it the AUness? (This is not a dramatic question but you have us curious now; only if you don't mind!)
In any case, thank you very much for leaving us such a lovely comment! We hope next week won't disappoint...

Date: 2011-07-25 10:48 pm (UTC)Actually I read this chapter on Thursday noon already but then I had to leave and when I came back in the evening I read it again but was too tired to comment afterwards, so I went to bed and read it a third time... xD Oh well I guess I'm a true procrastinator.
The chapter was so wonderful that I don't know where to start. All these details, all these hints, it was such a pleasure to read. *__*
And I'm so proud of Jin. He overcame his fear, he even opened up to a new friend and the most impressive one he took the chance to finally get to know why of all people he gets treated like shit by "Mr Harmless And Vanilla" (THIS! <3). Seriously Jin describing things in his mind is pure entertainment sometimes. xD
Oh and even though all three parts were different situations I have to say I liked the atmosphere in all of them. <3
Jin's tension in the last part when Ootomo appeared was especially amusing and yes it's a whole lot of money he's earning with doing this and I also think he still feels kind of obliged to do the work (and Kamenashi is work too, right ;)) And Jin should just admit that he's curious too, at least a tiny bit. :P
Compared to this being in Tomo's world must be like paradise for Jin just because he doesn't have to think about clients and assholes. But after reading some of the other comments I think I agree with the person who said that Jin's probably a character who'll never open up completely to someone ("special someone" might be an exception). But maybe it's better like this anyway because it seems that Jin terribly needs someone who isn't related to his job in any way in order to feel relaxed once in a while.
I'd also like to thank Tomo for staying calm and normal when Jin decided for his "coming out" XD Because this is what real friends do.
And for the first part I would like to hug you both. <3 This is overflowing with jinius. <3
Alone the relationship between Jin and Jun (which so reminded me of their relationship in real life XD'') spiced up with the "Yokoyama-incident". I truly love the irony behind it and were even a little bit surprised that (at least) Jin didn't notice what's going on.
This whole chapter was so interesting to read between the lines. *_*
And I'm not sure if this is intentional or not but I like the fact that now when Jin is finally less afraid and doesn't feel like he has to face Kame alone anymore the readers suddenly get to know a lot more about himself and his surroundings. Like the relationships among the escorts or his friendship with Tomo. Before that reading Jin's parts always felt like being isolated or anonymous, as if he didn't want to tell much about his life but now it's different. I don't know exactly how to describe it but maybe you know what I mean. ^^;
I just wanted to say that I really like how great this is working for the story!
Thanks for this chapter and now I'm counting the days again until next Thursday. :D

Date: 2011-07-27 12:04 pm (UTC)Jin's definitely getting his act together. (One might say it was about time. >_> But while he was still worrying that Ootomo might simply kick him back out on the streets, he just couldn't.) And it helps him so much to have somebody like Tomo around -- writing that was quite a relief for us too, after the tough time Jin's had! We are also pleased you find his inner commentary entertaining. :-) At least the boy isn't all doom and gloom!
We're really happy you enjoyed the first part, we're never entirely sure how people feel about those long(ish) bits which are just... background detail, really. We had a lot of fun writing the thing about Jun and Yoko. ;-)
Your last paragraph had a lot of really neat observation going on, and we're very pleased that there's a sense of Jin opening up now. What you're saying about the more isolated chapters earlier and how he's interacting more even at work, that's a great observation and totally true. The more unhappy Jin is, the more he just shut down.
But yeah, he's able to focus on other things now (not just worry that Kamenashi will lose him his job) and that means he can take more joy in things, and also that he has a more solid base to develop his life from. We're very happy that that feeling comes across.
Thank you so much for this long and wonderful comment! And hey, Thursday is NOT LONG! ♥♥♥
