"You've lost weight," Midori observes, with a gentle glance over his naked body that should probably upset him more.

He knows what a bad client can be like and that he can handle it if he has too, combined with the fact that now he knows for sure management will have his back if something goes wrong (I don't think he really trusted Ootomo to do that before the whole thing with Kame & Yuuya, despite all the panic buttons in the rooms and stuff), it's helped him be more comfortable around the "normal" clients. Hmmm, I'm not sure I explained that as well as I thought it in my head - I hope it made some sort of sense.
Have fun in Japan (tries not to be insanely jealous)

Date: 2011-09-02 02:41 pm (UTC)LOL, yes, isn't it ironic! Particularly the thing about trusting Ootomo and knowing that management will back him, it really makes a huge difference and before Kame, that just wasn't there. In a way, we guess he feels a bit more like he belongs, and won't be kicked out at the slightest mishap. So he can relax a bit.
Thank you, we intend to!

Date: 2011-09-01 12:50 pm (UTC)First to Kame. He's doing ok I guess, sounds like it. And he hasn't used whore in his thinking and is using Jin so I guess the event has changed Kame quite alot too.
I just feel quite bad for his wife. Especially after reading this, "She shrugs, with just a brief hesitation. "It wasn't so bad," she says. "I doubt anyone else would have noticed." I am not sure if Midori is going to take it well when Kame confesses his problems to her. For now, it probably makes Kame feel more guilty though. :(
I just found Jin the most adorable in this chapter. Its just with the way he understands Kame now and knows what Kame is going through. "If Kame will come back to the club, if he'll even want to go near Jin." Not long ago, Jin didn't understand the fascination between Kame and him. I mean as a reader I knew Kame was always thinking of avoiding Jin and yet not being able to do so and for Jin to understand that, it solves quite alot of the future awkwardness right? And now he has potential questions to ask Kame if they ever did meet. Not so long ago, he was mentally abusing and cursing him instead when he sees him on a screen. lol
So Yamada Tarou is a common name in Japan, never knew that! I have learnt one new piece of information today. :) "The back of his mind registers vaguely that he seems to be learning how to flirt. In English." Lets just say I was thoroughly amused reading Jin and Yamada Tarou's interaction.
Thanks for the share and till next week!!~~~ (.^^.)

Date: 2011-09-02 02:46 pm (UTC)The event, as you put it, has indeed left quite the impression on Kame.
I am not sure if Midori is going to take it well when Kame confesses his problems to her. For now, it probably makes Kame feel more guilty though. :-(
No, she probably wouldn't take it well. You're actually right to feel bad for her, what Kame is doing really isn't nice. Not crazy-psychotic like he was with Jin, but he's still lying and basically using her, even if he tries to make up for it, in his own Kame ways. >.<
We like that you find Jin cute in this. We find him quite cute too. And yeah, his perspective on Kame has changed quite a bit, you're totally observing that right!
And we're very glad you liked Jin and Yamada-Smith! It was fun for us too, with Jin having a relatively good time for a change at work. *g*
Thanks so much for this feedback! See you next week!

Date: 2011-09-01 03:25 pm (UTC)"Closeted American politicians don't like to run into Americans when they go wherever they find guys to fuck." This part made me laugh, though it probably shouldn't have.
They're both thinking about each other and cute might not be the word I'm looking for but it's making me all warm and fuzzy inside. About time, too. ♥

Date: 2011-09-02 02:52 pm (UTC)I only thought that because she seems so independent and not capable of jealous or clinginess.
What, are you saying a lady has to be a lesbian to be independent and non-clingy? *eg*
Jo could tell you about clingy lesbians who have made her life very hard.Anyway, no self-respecting lesbian would put up with this Kame's faking bullshit, really. So, no, this is unfortunately not a happy arrangement, but just really... quite a shame. >.<We're happy you liked that line. :-)
And yeah, fuzzy trajectory ahoy!

Date: 2011-09-02 04:30 am (UTC)The club scene was absolutely hilarious! I can so easily imagine a group of big loud foreigners barging into the club and regulars frowning unhappily at them for being disturbed and horrible, broken Japanese all over the place. Had me laughing. :D
I'm a little nervous about Jin being with that guy. I mean, he's big, and foreign, and may not understand everything... I don't know why but I have a bad feeling about it. I worry about Jin too much most likely, but we'll see I guess. Really wish you didn't have to cut the chapter there... :/ Oh well, I will just have to trust that there were reasons.

Date: 2011-09-02 02:59 pm (UTC)Yeah... we like their friendship too. It's really a shame. >.<
But we're glad you liked the club scene! It was kind of a relief to be writing Jin having fun for once, and we had a ball imagining the English.
Hey, for once the chapter cut didn't mean anything sinister! Jin doesn't have a problem with foreign and big; domestic and psycho is much more problematic. ;-) Yamada-Smith is actually really nice -- Jin doesn't get this, erm, proactive with just about anybody! And he can practice his English! It's going to be one of his funner dates, honestly. :-)
Thank you for this comment, as always much appreciated!

Date: 2011-09-05 12:14 pm (UTC)Arrrgh, we haven't killed anybody... yet? Well, Subaru, but that was off-screen and pre-story. ;-)
Poor traumatized reader. We can see we'll have to make it up to you. *g*

Date: 2011-09-02 03:21 pm (UTC)I still don't know how to feel about Midori - she seems like a nice, understanding wife, but I can't help and feel that there is more to her that meets the eye, as if she knows much more about kame then he or we think.
That is why I hope that when Kame will confess and things will start to unravel, it will go smoother with her. Or maybe not.
It's nice to see Jin.. enjoying.. his work and actually thinking about the client as a sexual partner.
As I think about it we don't get to read Kame's other sexual experiences here, only Jin's (or am I wrong?). It would have been interesting to read his "vanilla" preferences with Kimura or Tatsuya in oppose to the extremes he tries with Jin. Hmm.
So they are both thinking about each other and it lacks the usual tension. I can't wait to read about their much awaited meeting post the incident with their refined selves ^^.. maybe in the next update?

Date: 2011-09-05 12:14 pm (UTC)Midori - yes, Kame is lucky to have her. It would have been much better if they'd just stayed friends. We can see how you'd expect her to have figured some stuff out by now, but also remember that Kame is a pretty good actor. And also, well, he does like her, and she can probably tell.
True, you haven't read about Kame's other sexual experiences (except that quicky blow job with Tadayoshi) because they all took place before Jin came on the scene. But his attitude to Jin is changing/changed now so it's fair to say that the sex will change a bit, too.
maybe in the next update?
pssst... yes

Date: 2011-09-03 11:25 pm (UTC)And, oddly enough the recent events seem to have helped both Jin and Kame.... @_@ helped them to what I still can't decide, but I'm glad Kame is at least sleeping now.
In spite of myself and my OTP crazy-bitchness, I found the Yamada-Smith/Jin scene kind of hot (I'll deny this in public though ¬__¬ hehehe). It's nice to read him so relaxed now that I do like him in the fic XD hehehehe.
I'll complain ethernally about thursdays never coming fast enough!

Date: 2011-09-05 12:14 pm (UTC)We're indecently gleeful that Yamada-Smith got past your 'OTP crazy-bitchness'. We're pretty crazy OTP bitches too (Solo more than Jo, maybe, but that's a very fine question of degree) and we thought they were kind of cute together. (Then again, maybe we were just ready for Jin to get some non-crazy sex, anywhere at all!)
And we're still very glad that you like Jin. We hope it continues! :)

Date: 2011-09-04 11:52 am (UTC)This chapter made me smile so much. ^^
First Kame is finally back to being relaxed again. He doesn't try to be perfect for a change and even thinks openly about his mistakes. I'm so glad about this result.
And I love how you've written the bathroom atmosphere. I don't know if I'm just an easily receptive person or if you're really that good in describing the atmosphere but I really wanted to take a bath after this and feel relaxed just like Kame. XD
I also like the moments between Midori and him. They have really great dialogues and she's such a nice character in general. It's such a pity what Kame is doing to her but at least he knows that he doesn't derserve her. Sometimes I think she would be a perfect match for him if she's a guy but then again he couldn't have married her either.
It's complicated but I also wonder how much she really knows or what she might suspect.
And then Jin and Yamada-Smith which was almost as adorable as his Yokoyama dates. XD I had to laugh at the comparison "A big, black, American version of Yokoyama" and we know that works for Jin because he already handled much worse and this is probably why he isn't as picky as other escorts. It was really fun to read.
I think it's great that both experienced some positive things after that fateful evening and still think of each other in some kind of worried way but also with the assurance that the other will be doing okay. And the best is they really are, not in a perfect sense of okay maybe but still a lot better than expected which got clear when Kame talked to Midori without hiding his weak self and when Jin entered room three that contained not the best memories for him but still they managed.
And even though they haven't seen each other yet because both don't know what will happen from now on we can be sure their curiosity will win over as well ours. ^^
I hope you had a nice weekend and enjoy your stay in Japan.
See you next week. :D

we know that works for Jin because he already handled much worse and this is probably why he isn't as picky as other escorts.
Yes, that's part of it, though it's also that Jin just has his own particular set of likes and dislikes. He likes straightforward guys, guys who aren't much work, and he's also interested in foreign stuff (that's one of the things we adopted from 'canon' Jin). Many Japanese people are quite wary of foreigners, but that's something we thought Jin wouldn't be; he's wary about other things.
You're right, both Jin and Kame are starting to get over things. Small steps, but something was shaken loose that night -- well, particularly for Kame; Jin was already getting a lot better a few chapters ago. Still, before that night, Jin wouldn't have thought about Kame like this.
Thank you for your good wishes, and as usual for commenting. We like your insights! :-)

Date: 2011-09-05 09:33 am (UTC)They are finally acting more relaxed and thinkin´ about each other in normal way. Jin is even starting to think about Kazuya as "Kame" and not typical "Kamenashi". Yay!
Can´t wait for next chapter.
Also I´m glad, that my graphic has been welcomed well. :)
Thanks
