The drugs thing was a nasty shock in an otherwise quiet and almost domestic chapter. It was sweet how they both kept thinking about each other. Neither of them seems deluded by the progress they've made.. neither thinks everything is okay, but they've made so much progress since a few weeks ago and it's nice seeing a Kame who's nervous for more of the right reasons than the wrong reasons. And despite his nervousness, there's this lingering satisfaction and he's clearly able to enjoy things like training and Midori's company where he wasn't able to before. Maybe cock does solve everything.

Yeah, sorry for the shock; our whores have it better than most but even in that kind of environment, it can be a nasty business, and they do run into the occasional asshole. *cough*

We're glad we made up for it with a bit of sweetness. :-) We really enjoyed writing them after the recent developments, it made such a change for us too. (Poor nervous Kame never really gets a break from being nervous but yeah, as you're saying, for once it's for more of the right reasons!)

It's nice to see them make progress.
Nice in-between chapter. On the one hand I wanna see them together and on the other hand I wanna know what's going on in between.
Finally it's going into the right direction for them.after half of the story is over, long way to go.
Makes me wonder how it will continue, like Jin succeeding to get another job, another Kame breakdown, etc. I cannot imagine that there won't be any future problems with Midori. so far I would guess she found another guy, ends her marriage with Kame and stay friends with him, but who knows.

So far, let's hope that Kame won't hurt himself during his sword lessons.
Furthermore, I hope you two have fun in Japan. Wherever you are there :D

Hmmm, much as we'd like to say that now there will be 26 chapters of fluff, their lives are probably a bit too complicated for rainbows and ponies all around. >.< But they have totally made progress, and we're very happy you're enjoying them together and their in between time.

Poor Danny. I hope this drugging incident doesn't dent Jin's new self-confidence too much. Feeling safe is a big thing for him. He seemed okay at the club afterwards but the drugging took place outside so he might react more next time he's out for a job (which will probably be Kame). I don't think Jin would suspect Kame of doing that to him but he might unconsciously hesitate over being offered food/drink and with the way Kame's hypersensitive to Jin's reactions lately he'd notice something like that and probably misread the situation and overreact. Well I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Looks like Kame's new samurai movie will be much better than his last movie - although I suppose one day of samurai boot camp is probably too early to judge, but the atmosphere around the whole thing seems much better.

Yes, the last movie was a bit 'special' in terms of atmosphere. >_> Things can only get better!

Jin is so hyperaware of the risks of his job anyway, what happened to Danny is likely to do no more than confirm his views. Not that he really wants the confirmation. But he'd be more concerned about new outside clients, not people like Kame whom he knows pretty well by now....Okay, a month ago he wouldn't have put it past him, and yeah, the Danny thing happening then would have made him react in just such a way as you're describing. (That probably wouldn't have gone over terribly well with Kame, either.) We do hope things have moved on from then, though in general terms this was certainly a cold shower moment.

Ah the drug problems associated with Jin's world is quite disturbing and I hope Jin doesn't have to face that himself...ever! I kind of like this chapter even though there wasn't much akameness...
Our favorite couple do seem to wonder about each other from time to time and its nice to know that. I am still sticking with my previous hypothesis that Kame is going to fall in love with Jin first. And my proof is Kame's daydreaming...lol :P

Though Kame's and Jin's relationship is alittle worrisome... If it was an actual relationship I would say its fine..But Kame is paying for a service right? And yet Kame has become this sweet considerate gentleman on Jin. I am glad atleast Jin is aware that theirs isn't quite a normal client-whore relationship. Well from the beginning they didn't have a normal relationship so that could be expected I guess.. And ofcourse I prefer this nicer one they are having at the moment. Its progressing though its not quite headed to a relationship Kame would have with Ueda or Kimura I think.

We've piled so much crap on Jin already, we figure we may give him a free pass on this one. :-) But we agree with you, it's not something he needs after all the other stuff. And it's a seriously freaky issue.

"Fuck,"'--No kidding. Seriously. No wonder Jin got worried. Glad the guy got kicked out. Honestly a bit worried as to what might happen at the club in the future.


There were so many excellent lines in this chapter. I really love the writing style that you both use. So many quotes are just so brilliant. Like in this chapter, for instance: ‘Ootomo sent Mikami. Rumour has it the worst of it hit when they were already in the car, and now Mikami is no longer speaking to him."' (LAWL)
This is the kind of guy who looks like mountains will move before he'll be impressed by twentysomething film stars.' (totally made me think of my tae kwon do master instructer)
'Kame obediently raises and lowers the thing a cautious few centimetres; wiggles it around a little. He thinks this is to frighten him. It's kind of working.'-- XDD. I love them all; it perfectly caters to my own sense of humour.

But my hands down favourite line from this chapter: 'Two nights ago at ten, he had to stop in the middle of rinsing his coffee pot and almost called the club to apologize to Jin for that time with the wall and being pleased he made Jin come without caring for yes or no.'
The honest change in Kame is so wonderful. It's honestly much easier (and more pleasant) to picture Kame doing the guilt trip/incredibly sweet thing rather than the dominating/controlling/insane guy thing. I'm so glad Jin has no reason to be frightened by him anymore.

Yeah, there's things you can't just let stand at a decent establishment. Ootomo might like to please the clients but there are lines they can't cross either, and stuff involving drugs is certainly among that!

Thank you! We figured that all those little instances where he was a jerk would come back to haunt him, in that 'delayed embarrassment' kind of way. With that time against the wall, which wasn't even all that 'extreme' compared to later, the newly-shocked-out-of-jerkhood Kame would definitely think some belated thoughts just why that was... not nice.

And it's very important that he doesn't just handwave all that stuff with 'oh, it's different now', but spends time realizing just how much of a jerk he was and decides he doesn't want to be like that again.

Read the last few chapters all in one go! How Kame changed (and Jin, too)!
That peeing part was really intense (and a bit disgusting for my visual imagination), never thought Jin would volunteer to have that done to him. But I loved the part where Kame drove him home afterwards, it's my favourite part till now, because they both became so harmonic and timid.
So for a while Jin is calling him Kame... :D and obviously falling for him. I really wonder how this all will end, with Kame being married and Jin wanting to go to America!
