Date: 2011-11-03 03:32 pm (UTC)All the tiny things Kame keeps noticing about Jin (how he looks when he's trying not to giggle, or chewing on his bottom lip - that was such a lovely image) and the way he finds everything Jin does horribly cute these days - Jin could sneeze on him, he'd probably find that adorable as well - make me both happy and sad. It just feels like he's unknowingly trying to hold on as tightly as he can to this thing with Jin. And I'm sure you people are going to do something about that. OMG. How much longer until you start to torture them, HOW MUCH LONGER?! D: D:
I really liked that brief exchange about Souji with Kame summarizing things until they barely made sense and "I guess it made sense to you?" I just love that they had that kind of moment, it's so... normal. It happens all the time, what with people not being in one's head and one not always being all that articulate :) And we got to know more about Souji and Kame's past - I've been looking forward to that.
I'm still confused about him, to be honest. I really hope there's more to it than Kame's telling, because I still fail to see how a few disagreements - and maybe feeling abandoned or undervalued or whatever Souji was feeling at the time - can warrant that sort of reaction :/ I really don't want to see him as a 'bad' character, so I keep hoping there's more to him...
I'm also really glad we got to know more about Jin's past - that guy is such a mystery! - and Naoki. I've been waiting for that to come up forever
and I WANT ALL THE SORDID LITTLE DETAILS but that's not the point. So yay for Jin finally opening up about the past instead of thinking about it in vague roundabout ways! :D And he's told Kame his full name. That really made me beyond happy, that they're finally talking about these - more personal - things. And, god. You chose the perfect cover-up job, didn't you? If I ever meet a silent make-up artist I swear I'll thank him for not sharing.
And, "I'm not worried, not if you're not worried, now let me have my pancake." I adore that line! I kind of treasure these rare moments in which Jin is all cute and spoiled silly and kind of (playfully) demanding. It's just, I don't know, I think that's how he should look. I'm biased, sue me :P
It's kind of hard to reconcile this Jin who does all the right things around Kame - look at him, he even knows it's best to let Kame pour his wine... - with the idea Kame had of him in the beginning, when he described him as this fumbling socially awkward imbecile (^^) I guess that just goes to show how far they've both come!
Also. *Cough.* French food cravings, damn you! ¬¬
Oh god, I promise I didn't set out to write a novel here, it just kind of happened O.o

Date: 2011-11-06 11:11 am (UTC)Ugh sneezing. But okay, he'd probably find Jin's profound embarrassment very cute. And say something like 'Hey, that suit is a year old, I don't really like it any more anyway.'
Souji... well, the disagreements and the feeling undervalued, but Souji was also very much into the political side of being gay, which isn't an easy thing to do, and then you have a famous boyfriend who could actually be helpful in terms of raising profiles and stuff, and he just wants to live in a closet. Intensely frustrating! Souji probably felt that Kame was valuing his career more than Souji personally and more than what they both really were, he hated the dishonesty. (He was also kind of a jerk, though. Kame's issues don't come from nowhere, and sometimes even guys who are nice to you in bathrooms have their jerkish sides... You don't go and do what Souji did without some underlying jerkitude.)
The full name thing was special. :-) Glad you liked it.
Jin has come a long way too, but he's simply got a lot more confidence in his interactions with Kame. Their whole relationship simply tilted at some point, and suddenly Jin was able to... do stuff and not worry, because he suddenly understood where Kame was coming from.
Novels are good. We like novels. (Mwahaha.) Thank you for this one.

Date: 2011-11-03 04:59 pm (UTC)*sob* They've been fucking for months and finally Kame knows Jin's whole name... this pair.
"Twenty-one," Jin says, and raises his glass. "Totally legal. Kind of boring. It was more exciting before I turned twenty."
*snort* when he said this I wasn't sure if he meant drinking or being a prostitute. D:
"If the swords aren't essential, I think shirtlessness could be arranged much sooner and with less freezing,"
Legitimately snorting with laughter... Kame's lame humor is spot on.. ladsaklfjalja
They've fallen apart somewhat but that can be fixed, so he slides his hands around to Jin's back until there's no space left lonely between them.
This is just lovely... *sigh*
I don't have anything coherent to contribute about this chapter except they seem so *real* now, like they know each other and fit and oh god, just bracing for the hurt I know is going to come. *hides*

Date: 2011-11-06 11:20 am (UTC)... ok, that is a bit of a creepy image.
They've been fucking for months and finally Kame knows Jin's whole name... this pair.
This is a great summary of their relationship. Heee.
Whoring was definitely more exciting too. >.< Well, more 'exciting' before he landed at the club, he was already 21 then. Poor Jin.
Thank you for your feedback! And we are not rubbing our hands evilly at all, what do you mean, hurt to come? FLUFF. ALL IS FLUFF.

Date: 2011-11-06 11:21 am (UTC)They had to learn a bit more about each other eventually. But yeah, Jin doesn't open up to other clients quite like that.
It's less about how in love they are than about how aware they are of it...
Thank you for commenting. :D

Date: 2011-11-03 11:03 pm (UTC)"Did you have fun, too? You weren't as neurotic as I thought you'd be."
Kame snorts water up his nose and quickly puts his glass down.
LMAO, I think if I'd have been drinking something when I read this line my reaction would have matched Kame's.
And they really both opened up to each about their pasts. May have to reread and digest more before commenting on these parts.
And them getting tipsy was so cute and the rest of the date - just perfect.
But you're killing me with Construction!Kame - why oh why haven't they made this drama irl??????????
(no subject)
Date: 2011-11-06 11:21 am (UTC)And Jin can be quite clumsily outspoken. *g* But we think Kame appreciates that.
Construction!Kame - we know, right!? Wouldn't that be great!
We're happy you liked this, thank you for commenting!

Date: 2011-11-04 04:45 am (UTC)I love love LOVE how Jin told Kame his surname. Kame would never have pushed for it but Jin feels safe and comfortable enough to tell him. And I'm sure he hasn't told this little bit of information to any other clients. mwahaha...
And their little make-up artist story. Jin screwing up Kame's face... XD. And Jin in make-up.... He doesn't need it, obviously, but I have always been dying to know what Jin would look like in eyeliner. (I have a HUGE eyeliner weakness.) Kame just looks so beyond stunning in it I've forever wanted to see Jin in it.
'"I'm sorry, is something wrong?"
"No," Jin says, an amused question in that one word. "You look really good in that suit."
The pleased tingle sneaks in under the radar, past the memories, and Kame smiles, flustered. Jin didn't have to say that. "Thank you. So do you.""-- HEEEE I got that pleased tingle too. Have I mentioned recently how much I love your writing style?
They shared their pasts with each other. Really shared. There are, of course, some past events that remain unspoken (particularly on Jin's part) but they came a LONG way by talking like that and REALLY getting to know each other. And actually feeling comfortable enough (drunk enough?) to be able to communicate how they were going to miss each other...
If I had to pick a chapter (granted I haven't read all of them yet) I would pick this one as the one that depicts the real first stages of love between them.
Okay um, just because Jin and Kame have to wait three weeks to see each other again, does that mean WE have to wait three weeks for them to see each other again...?
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME CHAPTER.

Date: 2011-11-06 11:30 am (UTC)We love a continuous challenge? But srsly, thank you. :-) *blush*
And I'm sure he hasn't told this little bit of information to any other clients.
You'd be right. Not even his colleagues -- Yuuya aside, but he got told by Ootomo -- know. But we're sure it means absolutely nothing that he told Kame... ;-)
He doesn't need it, obviously, but I have always been dying to know what Jin would look like in eyeliner.
Aren't there pictures around where he's wearing some? He never got as glammed up as Kame -- or, even better, Ueda -- but from the middle KAT-TUN days there ought to be some pictures...
But yeah, what he's asking about here is something slightly more noticeable than the 'invisible make-up' and more Ueda-style prettification. (And we agree it could look lovely, but this Jin is... hung up on doing those sorts of things for the job.)
There are some things Jin would not in a million years feel comfortable discussing with Kame about his past, but yes, what he chose to share here was quite significant. He actually wanted to tell Kame, and didn't feel he had to or anything. It's also helpful that they can talk about some of the stuff -- like Souji -- that even got them there... things are just getting less fraught in a lot of ways, and more complicated in others. :-)
Yes, we're totally going to amend the posting schedule to the internal schedule, mwahahaha. (OK, no, Thursday it's going to be. We're pushovers. *g*)
Thank you for this great comment! And we'll try to meet the favourite chapter challenge again at some point down the road.

Date: 2011-11-06 07:06 pm (UTC)I mean, of course they all look wonderful even without makeup, and I don't like it when they have too much on, it's just that eye makeup that just.... well, with Kame, it's like looking at an angel... (I have died many deaths to the LIPS PV)
And I'm sure you'll meet that challenge many a time before this fic is over. Which will be way too soon. ;]

Date: 2011-11-12 01:21 pm (UTC)We did some digging... sorry it took so long but we had to do writing before we could do digging. :-)
We aren't entirely sure about some of these - Jin's got very dense dark eyelashes which make it look like he's got eyeliner on sometimes when he doesn't. But there are also some very clear candidates here.

We actually think that Ueda is the one who looks best with eye makeup... omg heresy!(no subject)
Date: 2011-11-13 07:26 pm (UTC)I have seen many of these before but I wasn't sure whether or not he was wearing any eyeliner. He does have dense dark lashes that make it difficult to tell. It might just be very lightly applied or a light brown instead of black or something.
Ueda... is very gorgeous in eye makeup. I won't lie. I just think they girlify him too much sometimes. (butterflies on his cheeks and such.) But I don't think anyone on the planet could look better in eyeliner then Kame... But again it's all a matter of personal opinion. They are all gorgeous.

Date: 2011-11-05 06:54 am (UTC)Its nice that Kame and Jin could enjoy their dinner in such a posh place and for a moment I was wondering if Jin would have minded going to such places if he wasn't Kame's escort.
I like how they sense and work to erase each others' tension away. And Jin's humor is just LOL.The chandelier joke?? :P Akame now know more about each other and the line between what is what work and real is just diminishing. I wonder what is going to happen next?? And I hope the 3 weeks flies away soon for the two of them! :)
Thanks for sharing and hopefully I am on time to read the next chapter!!~~ <3

Date: 2011-11-06 11:30 am (UTC)We were really looking forward ourselves to how Jin would tell Kame about his background. We're happy you like the way he did it here. (Kame is very happy that he did it, too.) Ha, you noticed the thing about the songs... that's one thing that's still a bit too private for him to be happy to share, but hey, he can be impulsive sometimes (and a little reckless) so it may well come out later.
We don't think Jin would have minded going to such places, he probably just doesn't feel any particular way about it. He would certainly not afford it out of his own budget, and if he went with a different client he'd probably be behaving differently too. It wouldn't have been as much fun for him, but it would have been okay...
That's well observed, about the diminishing line. They should really worry a bit more... *eg*

"Shhh!"
Loved this part. Kame already means more to Jin that he wants himself to admit. Beautiful little detail.

Date: 2011-11-13 04:41 pm (UTC)Sorry if it took me so much time to comment to this chapter but I was in Verona with the family last thursday (and for all the week end), and after that the week started and I have been super busy..
Anyway, wonderful chapter, and I spent a lot of time sighing for the emotions developing at that table, between our two young men..
Their stories.. for the first time exposed. The carefulness, in both telling and listening.
Now they are in a really strange situation, I mean, they are absolutely not a customer and his escort anymore. So, what are they, really? For the moment it seems that neither of them know the answer. And the sweet thing is that, in order to avoid The Answer (and all the trouble it could bring), they are not asking themselves The Question. Ah ah.. I wonder for how long this can continue..
It's thrilling, I know that moment will eventually arrive, I can't wait, but I'm scared and perhaps I would like to stick to what I know. Like them :DD
Ok, I'll go commenting the next chapter (which I adored!)
Kiss! AND Thanks!!!!

Date: 2011-11-15 05:38 pm (UTC)Verona? Did anyone stand on balconies and declaim poetry?
We really loved this comment of yours, because of the whole 'question' vs 'answer' thing - that sums it up so very nicely. Kame is very definitely avoiding questions and answers entirely. Jin knows his own question and answer, but he also knows what Kame's answer would realistically have to be, so as far as he's concerned there's no point in questions. Complicated boys.
You may be scared but we are gleefully looking forward to the moment we get a few eye-openers in there. :-p
