"Epilepsy," the old guy in the waiting room says to Jin, not that he asked. "But it's okay, don't worry. Pills are working, this is just a check-up."

Date: 2011-11-24 10:50 am (UTC)Jin and Kame getting all domestic and relaxed and sweet (and still hot) with each other is the best thing ever to read about. Watching them fall for each other is. just agfasfdsaf ;__; No words, seriously. And they're so vibrant. It feels like I know them.
I ship these two so hard, if there won't be a happy end I think I'll actually go into mourning or something.
And now I need to go back to frantic hols writing. One day, there'll be time again to leave the comments this so much deserves. T__T
PLEASE KNOW THAT YOU BOTH HAVE MY ETERNAL LOVE FOR CONTINUING TO MAKE MY THURSDAYS FEEL LIKE CHRISTMAS DAY! ♥♥♥

And they're so vibrant. It feels like I know them.
This is really great praise. Thank you very much. We appreciate it!
Just FWIW, should you ever magically find the time, belated comments are just as loved at this end. :-)
We shall continue to do our best about your Thursdays. *g*

Date: 2011-11-24 01:13 pm (UTC)The interaction between Jin and Kame just gets better with every chapter - I'm worried, I think you're trolling me! I like them here, being all cozy and familiar, and Kame isn't even getting all worked up even though there are quite a few Dangerous Times and Topics in this chapter. And a hamster. Elusive creatures those, I rarely catch sight of mine.
And I totally pictured Kame in an apron. Well that was random.
I... felt so bad for Jin for a moment there, I'm not sure anymore that him being aware of his feelings is good - ignorance is bliss and all that. He's thinking so much. All those feelings about Kame cooking for him, and is he worried Kame's going to disappear on him...?
Because that just. Yeah, no.That moment in the kitchen with the foam blocks and the salad was amazing, cute and sweet, and then you had to go and write about sea urchins and dating, didn't you? I think I hurt myself trying not to laugh ;__;
Also, fluffy-cuddly!Kame. I love it! Maybe he's had an epiphany? *g* Looking forward to Kame's POV now. It's amazing how much your characters reveal about each other, and not just themselves.
I am an accomplished watcher of hamsters. No, for real, I think you're trying to kill me with these sentences.

Date: 2011-11-27 01:10 pm (UTC)We're definitely trolling you. This is all a SHAM, and underneath Kame is plotting to sell Jin on into the sex trade. He's just fattening him up a little first so he can survive the transport to... uh, wherever Jin's going to be shipped.
Hee, apronfetish! You picked the right guy for it!
Laughing is good. We... hope we're not JUST wordy and emo all the time. *g*
I'm not sure anymore that him being aware of his feelings is good - ignorance is bliss and all that.
Yeah, Jin is in a tricky situation here. Well, they both are. Uncomfortable questions, uneasy answers. Feelings = so fucking messy! *sigh*
Thank you for this. <3 Hope you like next week's chapter too!

Date: 2011-11-24 05:28 pm (UTC)"He wonders if by the end of all this he'll be known in Tokyo's taxi world as the guy with the hamster."
I just love it <3
And the story is getting so sweet and warm now ^^ I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

Date: 2011-11-24 07:28 pm (UTC)There is so much easiness between the two of them here...that i couldnt help but SMILE while reading the whole way through =)
and since i pretty much loved this entire chapter...i cant possibly highlight everything right back to you guys. lol
but i esp smiled even wider during kame's call to jin....to their time in the kitchen together cooking...and then their living room flirting!!
oh and taka-chan's presence was very much significant too!
thank you guys for the update!!

Date: 2011-11-25 01:55 am (UTC)'Something is going on in that silence; he thinks he can hear Kame breathing weirdly. But then his voice is normal. "Your hamster, do you think it's fit for travel?"
"Well, I got it here fine…" Oh. "You want me to bring the hamster?"
"If it can be persuaded," Kame says. Jin thinks he might be laughing.'
All of Jin's extra precautions to take care of little Taka-chan were beyond adorable, and I am sure Kame was properly amused by said adorableness as well. XD
And Jin's over-eager thoughts stumbling out of his mouth did a nice job of taking the tension away from the topic of Yuuya pretty nicely. I'll just bet he would be totally okay with Kame taking him away on a trip.
And the scene with Kame cooking honestly made my mouth water. I also have a weakness for spaghetti XD. And I imagine Jin was in a similar state, as well as trying to deal with his fuzzy feelings all jumbled inside at the thought of Kame cooking especially for HIM. And the sea urchins incident (never heard of sea urchins in spaghetti before but it sounds like a totally great idea) with Kame feeling bad because he didn't automatically know what Jin liked best and Kame making phantom hamster noises and crazy fangirls that we all know would totally be us if we ever saw Kame even though we really don't want to admit or picture it.... XD
I loved all the little observations they made about each other that they so obviously found adorable. Kame in his invisible man get up, seriously inspecting the produce for something suitable for a little guest hamster to consume, turning a honey bear upside down... I can totally see why Jin was in no hurry to speed up the process of shopping with Kame. XD.
And I caught the whole "competent" point in there. *pat's Kame*
(Not that I've been re-reading the earlier chapters or anything.)
But amidst all the cuteness there was still that hint of sadness in there. Poor Jin feeling things he shouldn't and getting his heart chipped into already. He's just a big ball of fluff inside isn't he? I can just imagine what it would do to him of Kame started seeing other escorts instead of him... Is it at all odd that Kame hasn't seen any of his other regulars like Takuya or Tatsuya for months now? We haven't heard much from Tatsuya lately to get his opinion on Kame's rather obvious *coughinfatuationcough* interest with Jin.
And Jin wore the belly button stud for Kame and Kame got to touch it this time, and they had lots of nice little kisses and giggles and... other things without scarring little Taka-chan for life. All the utter adorableness in this chapter was almost too much to take. Oh my gosh how many times have I used the word cute or adorable for this chapter??
When you find even the smallest things they do to be the cutest thing ever, you'd better look out, cuz that's love coming on.

Date: 2011-11-26 06:42 am (UTC)Did Jin or Kame call Ootomo and let him know about the impromptu date? Cuz you didn't mention it, and I totally forgot about it so I figured it was possible for them to forget about it as well. Of course you may have just decided that it didn't need to be mentioned, but it always has been before so I thought I'd ask.

Date: 2011-11-27 02:17 pm (UTC)The cooking scene seems to be universally popular. *g* And yeah, the Japanese put all sorts of interesting stuff on their pasta, and since Jin is on record as liking pasta *and* liking sea urchin, we thought, well. (We've actually seen sea urchin spaghetti in Japan, as well as cod roe spaghetti and other delicacies.)
Yes, competent Kame. Very important. Re-reading also very important. (Well, we like to think so. *cough*)
Kame has seen nobody else. Initially he kept meaning to, but somehow it just never happened (ha ha). But Tatsuya is a busy and popular guy, and Kame only saw him once every two weeks anyway, so he's proably not exactly pining.
:DDD We're very happy you find the small things they do cute.
As for your additional question: yes, he let Ootomo know, it's just so routine (and second-nature for Jin) that for once we didn't write it in. Sorry about creating a mystery. In this, Jin's still very much a cautious guy. *g*

Date: 2011-11-25 07:08 am (UTC)Hamsters and cooking and bossy and hot Kame and Jin being needy and *melt melt*
I am having my own pot belly incident right now, so cannot leave a more coherent comment, but MOAR PLZ(no subject)
Date: 2011-11-27 02:18 pm (UTC)We're happy you like our hamster, and our bossy cooking Kame.
We thought Jin was actually restraining himself quite well. ;-) This is a very needy Jin when he really lets go. ;_;
Thank you for... rolling off your pot belly for long enough to comment. :p

Date: 2011-11-25 01:58 pm (UTC)The shopping scene was kind of lovely except for the fan moment. But that is reality and its these kind of scenes that kind of remind me who they each are when they are apart. And the cooking scene is now one of my favourites in this story. Akame make cooking so fun and sexy. lol
And while its getting harder to pick out my favourite bits of each chapter now because they're getting closer each day and I enjoy the teasing and flirting but this was my ultimate favourite swooning line in this chapter. Kame just has no chance when Jin says "I could tell you liked it," Jin says. "Last time. When we were… when you were looking down at me." That belly button stud!!!! lol
Thanks for sharing this!~~ Its awesome to read a close knitted Akame and I shall enjoy this happiness for now. :P See you soon!~

Date: 2011-11-27 02:18 pm (UTC)Kame is a slut even when he's cooking. We think he treats cooking as foreplay. :-)
And oooh, we like that you liked our belly-button stud line. Thank you for telling us!

Date: 2011-11-26 11:32 am (UTC)This was the Akame I love - comfy, silly, cute, hot, caring.
Kame is finally being himself here. No akward silences and holding back.
The cooking together was *__* and Kame being bossy and sexy and cute at the same time. Loved that scene :)
Btw, your food descriptions are always such a wonderful addition and mouth watering. Yammy! I feel It adds another dimension to their connection beside the sex.
Jin is such a practical dreamer. On one hand he yearns for love and affection in the simplest form, on the other hand he knows that all this can end and he can find himself right where he started.. "He's been miserable for so long, he thinks he can let himself be not miserable for a bit. If it goes away, he's not really much worse off than before." I hope it doesn't end, Jin.
The whole hamster/cat inserts are like an analogy to how Jin perceives life and his own situation in it. Being dependable on other people for survival and not biting the hand that feeds you (metaphorically and literally). It is sad how he is just rolling with life's punches and not expecting much.. :(
I've been thinking about verious possibilities on how this story might progress and end..(like Jin being discovered by this big shot music producer who will sign him on a life changing contract.. Midori and Kame will decide on amicable divorce, and such.. but Jin's past is always in the way of their happy ending on matter what the scenario is.. argh)
But I will trust you on this and hope for a true happy ending! (god, they so deserve it)
Thank you for another wonderful read!

Date: 2011-11-27 02:18 pm (UTC)Kame is in his element when he's cooking, so you get the see the best of him there. All the things you said, yes. :)
You picked out our most important Jin sentence in the entire chapter. Poor guy, he's kind of caught between his feelings and his pragmatism, and trying to wriggle around it.
We really like your observation about the hamster and cat - it's very true, there are some fundamental Jin issues in that.
We're curious, why do you think Jin's past is the problem? Because he's so damaged? We do admit he has some serious issues, but we also kind of think that it's less Jin's past that's in the way of things than Kame's present. He's the closeted one, the one who's got to worry about public opinion, he's the one whose career is at risk if he ever comes out and divorces Midori.
We'll... be working on that happy ending. :)

Date: 2011-11-27 03:45 pm (UTC)Um,I'm not sure what you mean by damaged to you mean emotionally? I will refer to it:
The way I see it, Jin being damaged(emotionally)is not the problem here.. I actually referred to his current occupation as an escort. I have the feeling that in this story the public will be more tolerant and forgiving (eventually) if Kame came out, rather than accepting the fact that he is gay WITH a partner who happens to be a former whore.. maybe?
Actually where I live (Israel) we have a saying - "there is nothing more whole then a broken heart", and I believe that "damaged" people or those who got their heart broken, have a greater capacity for loving and living life fully. --> Lol, Am I making sense?
Btw, sorry for my English mistakes, I always notice a few.. it's not my first language nor second)
m(_ _)m

Date: 2011-12-03 09:54 am (UTC)That's a really nice saying. We're not sure how/whether/when it might apply to our Kame, who has basically been scared off love by love itself. Jin... yeah. That could work.
Mistakes, bah. We don't care about mistakes when you come up with interesting conversation like that! Thank you for this comment, it made us think!

Date: 2011-12-01 07:55 am (UTC)Everything in this chapter was so cute. The hamster, shopping, cooking (I'll agree with Jin that Kame cooking is Hot)
It's a little sad that Jin has to think of his feelings for Kame as dangerous though. Understandble I suppose, but still sad.

Date: 2011-12-03 09:54 am (UTC)We're glad that cooking Kame is hot, he was meant to be (ha ha!) We both have a bit of a fetish for him with his sleeves rolled up, and if you add sweat and a knife, then... whoooo.
Yeah, Jin has to be realistic. Sad but true.
