Does this mean Jin's told Kame about his accidental meeting with Tomo a couple of chapters ago? Or am I reading this wrong?
That part with Kame thinking about good sells. OMG. It's brilliant and... heartbreaking. It's also not the first time Kame's thinking in those terms -- it's been a while though, he's been so nice and relaxed lately *g* -- and I'm back to thinking he feels so much more like a whore than Jin, in his daily life. Except now I think I kind of understand it. He'd need that, to prevent his facade from cracking.
"Jin is mulling over thoughts and they're nothing like that, nothing about a sell. His suit looks kind of rumpled like this and his smile is secret, reluctant almost. It's crushing how much Kame wants to kiss him." What is this. I'm tearing up. WHY ARE THEY SO ADORABLE?! And then Jin wants to use his compensation money to get something for the both of them. Why are you doing this? D:
That whole paragraph after the meeting in Ootomo's office, when Jin talks about not feeling any happier even though the client's been dealt with, that gave me chills :/ But, yeah. Some things are just. I don't know. One can't be compensated enough. And Jin trying to calm down and not ruin Yamatani's date... That's unbearably cute again, just, so sad ;____;
I can't believe you paired Kato with Tadayoshi! They're both so awkward and prone to epic fail moments... it's a match made in hell *g* They're perfect for each other -- and at the same time entirely wrong. Oh god, I love the idea... #shipping And then you went and gave Jin a date with Nakamaru of all people and-- Okay, that's just hilarious. Full marks for awkwardness, both of them. (^^)
And eggplants. Eggplants, really. >__> OMG and what is this about the firmness of eggplants-- what?! Gah. You're trolling me. And I love how Kame keeps reminding himself that the final choice is the director's and producer's all through these scenes :)

I love how your Tomo gets all flustered every time the word 'whore' comes up, how he keeps scolding Jin, how he gets all inappropriately curious about Jin cross-dressing (LOL!) -- I keep expecting him to get all protective and motherly, because your Tomo is just that cute. And he looks like he would O.o
"And suddenly there it is again, a little flash of panic that he said too much, that no matter how cool it is, it can't be this easy." T____T That made me so sad, even though nothing happened. Poor Jin's had no one to talk to for so long, of course he keeps waiting for that moment...

No, you're reading it exactly right. Jin has told Kame about his accidental meeting with Tomo, and the ensuing conversation. (It was both something that was important to Jin, so he... wanted to tell Kame, and something he thought Kame probably ought to know, since he's met Tomo, and for somebody as paranoid as Kame, there are... implications.)

Jin smiles. "Okay." He's tapping some rhythm with his feet and peering at Kame from under his fringe like coffee was Kame's best idea this week.
I love those moments because it's intimate but very subtle and shows their affection. <3 I absolutely love them getting closer in general. One of the most beautiful moments (in my opinion) was last chapter when Jin clinged to Kame in bed because he needed comfort <3<3

I hope Jin is worrying about nothing at the end there though - after all Tomo doesn't think Kame is a client (just a friend) and it's not like Kame is going to say anything about it. We'll see next week I suppose :D

But then there was no adorable sweet akame kiss. I'm offic ally spoiled and now demand that every time they part(or every chapter. that totally works too) they must kiss. And then you gave us the image of Kame's barely controlled urge to kiss him on top of everything. First you take away the they-ARE-human typos, now Akame kisses? It must be frightening to have so much power.
It pleased me greatly that Mr. Hot Show is gone, but it still left my inner vengeance slightly unsatisfied. You've embedded such a fierce protectiveness for Jin in me; I'm slightly afraid of what I'll turn into when we get the full playground-five-guys-horror-and-terror story out of Jin.
The Nakanishi...oh my. HEE at Maru's sexual unadventuressness.
A giant store. Life time supply of ramen. Cheap toilet paper. Beef and beef's descendents. Kame clothes. I love your writing style. I really do.
Jin is right. Pi is awesome. It will be interesting to see how this situation you've left us hanging at will unfold. Has Jin told Kame that Tomo knows now? Seems like he should, since Jin made sure to deny to Pi that Kame had anything to do with his field of "escorting."

And we still have not got the whole story, just little bits and pieces of pain-filled flashbacks and Jin panic attacks. Picture a puzzle, a really really gory puzzle, that you only have like half the pieces to. You can tell it's dreadful, but can't quite make it out. HOW CAN YOU NOT FINISH THAT PUZZLE?
Aside from Jin, we as readers who love and sympathize with poor Jin-kun also need to face this tragic past head on and then we can, you know, move on and all that jazz. THINK ABOUT THE READERS. THE READERS! And Jin too of course.
And I'll be sure to take the sobbing Kame in when Jin leaves him for the great misunderstood love of the Nakanishi. *pats him*
Just a few months heads up, come March you're probably going to get a lot of pathetic selfish hysterical OMGPLEASE sequel begging from me, so I apologize in advance.

Date: 2011-12-22 06:04 am (UTC)That's something I had hoped for ever since it first came up in the early chapters, cuz in a fic like this, that's all thought out and well-written with 2-3 year dedication and effort put into it; suspense and anticipation builds up at each puzzle piece revealed *insertmetaphor* and you just know that it would be so clear and horrible in your head and possibly make you cry and all that... It's totally important for readers to experience a character's pain firsthand in order to truly understand them. *convincing*
Badly written fics get all horrible and gruesome all the time and I'm willing to bet no reader's expression even remotely changes, then you two come along and won't actually write out the scene? SAY IT ISN'T SO.
Kame's tramatic past scenes too, cuz you too can totally write Kamepanic! scenes well enough to make reader's heartbeats speed up just enough to feel a taste of it ourselves... ;]
Oh Nononononono. Even I'm not that selfish *omg*. I would never ask for another several-year-spanning project; I wasn't even considering that. (although would not be opposed to it...) XDDD But since I haven't read the whole story yet I guess I shouldn't just automatically assume that the ending is going to leave me unsatisfied. Cuz, you know, you two NEVER leave things out or leave your readers wanting or anything like that...

And well, the part in which Yamapi says 'Language' it's really cute. I somehow see him like that in RL. Like, Jin wouldn't mind people he knows don't say it as an insult to call him whore, but Yamapi'd feel bad even if Jin said it about himself.
Btw, the cliffhanger was a very low move, you know? ;_______; We readers have to wait another week until the next update. It's not fair :C

Yes, that's totally what it is, about Pi. Jin can say 'whore' because to him it's just... well, fact, it's calling a spade a spade and not being unnecessarily fussy about it. But Pi knows that even if it's fact, that sort of word isn't likely to make people feel better about themselves. He knows better what's good for Jin than Jin himself does. :)
Sorry about the cliffhanger. It was only because we change POV, honest!

The story is moving along alittle quick.Kame is being worried for Jin is so heartwarming. And now the two will be considered as friends at Koki’s party. Just for this, I would really like to read the next chapter. And I’m glad Pi is really helping Jin with the apartment hunt, especially since Jin is an amateur in looking for one. I am glad to see that Inaba has been treated justly and Jin has been given compensation. And just like last week, its interesting to read that Jin would choose Kame to share the money with. I mean not literally but thinking about buying a baseball DVD.
Its alittle amusing to think of Junno as an accountant. Lol :P And Jinmaru love in this chapter was interesting to read too!! :D

I'm sorry for not having commented lately, but I hadn't the time to read carefully the chapters.. just checked here and there what was happening (I know, it's awful, but I'm exactly like this :D) and postponed the comments until the moment I would have the time to start reading with all my attention..
Of course the last 2 chapters (47 and 48 this evening) made me breathless, and incredibly worried/happy/crazy ect.. but I'll read them slowly in the next days.. for the moment I'll start my comments from where I stopped.
This chapter was strangely tense.. I don't know how to explain.. the feeling I had was "something is in the air.." and when I read the part where Kame was like a stupid in front of Jin's apartment, all dressed up and rich.. O.o!!
How will they manage now? Tomo will understand for sure.. and what will he do? I think he will dislike Kame.. I'm pretty sure he'll not judge Jin.. but Kame, not so sure.
I loved the unexpected visit of Kame at the club.. "purely selfish".

Date: 2012-02-11 02:00 pm (UTC)I'll arrive in Japan with my friend on 12th Apr, then immediately we'll go to Hiroshima for the 2 concert dates at the Green Arena on the 13th and 14th.
Then we'll be back in Tokyo on sunday 15th, and we'll stay there until monday 23th. We'll go for sure to the three dates in Tokyo Dome.
