All this little descriptions, the interaction with longtime characters and the story coming to an end (?) just makes it a fantastic chapter.

And Tanaka.. I thought at first that he was mad at Jin but I guess it was his way of teasing. I'm glad that Jin get to pursue his music. Kame seemed to be extremely happy, too. He won't be getting depressed over a pair of underwear anymore.:)
And Yuuya! Glad they're keeping their friendship.
Still waiting for Jin to meet the parents!!!! Sorry...:) It's just, I'm sooooo excited for Jin and Kame. With the signing of the "break up" contract and all, it seems like they got married.:)

Yeah, Jin and Yamatani... it was a weird relationship, that, or rather, the weird thing was how it didn't feel as weird as it should have. If that makes any sense. Some sort of respect and liking which had nothing to do with the whoring that was going on.

kame's break up clause with his lawyer is too sweet...and tanaka teasing jin is just too cute..wouldve loved to see jin's reactions.

Date: 2012-03-29 09:51 pm (UTC)I like that Jin keeps in touch with Yuya. Much as he likes to close that chapter of his life, he keeps the friendship it brought him. To me this means that he isn't traumatized any longer, but made his peace with that part of his life. And of course, it brought him Kame.
Now I just need Jin to meet Kame's parents. I'm so curious what you came up with for that meeting.
Then I finally need to get used to the thought that this wonderful story that accompanied me through half a year of my life has to come to an end. Like someone said before, I could continue reading about their everyday life forever.

He probably would prefer just not to ever think about it again, but yes, it brought him Kame, and he's not one to turn down friendships either. So he'll just... deal. He's learned to deal with far worse than remembering the club time.
I'm so curious what you came up with for that meeting.

Okay, backtracking. I think it's sweet how Jin says his goodbyes to everyone (well, some people) at the club, even though he didn't really like it there. And his conversation with Tanaka is priceless, with the cars conversation and the Kamenashi clause~ and then how Jin's like, "Oh, let's keep it a secret from Kame for a little bit" but Kame already knows and is like "TELL ME EVERYTHING. Now." (^_^)
And the hamster possibility! Too cute.
The conversation about Jin's family... (;_;) I can't even imagine...
"And you're my family now." ♥♥♥ awwwwww! and then the following Okay. Families. Gotta be brave. line just made me giggle. It's so true~!
And he's gonna meet Kame's parents soon? Yes? I'm sooo looking forward to that, it's going to be so awkward (^_^)

Koki spoiled Jin's surprise a little, but we imagined he'd be straight on the phone to Kame cackling about 'heee, your boyfriend, I could've got him to take a job as an office assistant and he would have washed my mouldy tea cup and by the way, you have to stop that boy from ironing his jeans, that is so dumb!'
We would like to inform you that the hamster is highly symbolic and not at all cute. This hamster possesses dignity. #kidding
Jin's family is a sore point, and that's not likely to go away. BUT HE HAS KAME NOW. And maybe one day he'll have a chance with his brothers at least. Who knows.
The lawyer thing is more like a trust fund for Jin, and Jin can only get at it if he dumps Kame's ass. Admittedly we did not research how this would work in practice, neither of us being of the legal persuasion, but we're pretty sure such an arrangement should be possible. *g*
Re Yuuya, yeah, Jin is the one who got out, that is awesome to him just for... being something he has absolutely no knowledge of. Yuuya's entire life has been whoring, he knows his way around there, nothing much impresses him there really. But the life 'outside' and people who get there? Whoa! We're hoping that Yuuya and Kame will have a talk one day. Kame will find it very uncomfortable. Jin will have kittens when he hears. But after that the air will be clearer.
What are we going to do next, omg. We have so many one-shots planned, some from like 2 years ago, you have no idea. Plus, new things are constantly occurring. Right now we're writing on one which happened when a very nice person sent us a banner that didn't go with anything we already had and we thought, hm, we might just... write something to go with it? That might be our next finished one. And we have one from the Amigoverse half done, and one based on a drabble prompt just started, and one called 'camels' and one called 'cupcakes' in various stages of noncompletion and really...? This is a complicated question. But count on it, we'll be doing something.

And I'm glad you included a scene with Mikami. I really liked the guy. He made Jin feel safe, and that definitely deserves some recognition.

STUPID TANAKA FOR NOT LETTING JIN TELL KAME.
"Oh, and, Sunday," Kame says suddenly. "My mom asked. Will that be okay?" Oh holy hell. --Giggled for nearly two minutes over this. ^^
That bit about Jin not having had sex for almost a week... It gave me a nice little feeling, knowing that Jin's body wasn't touched for a decent period of time, even from Kame, as weird as that may sound. I hope he showered less. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is the first chapter that is completely void of showers. Unless I read this too fast.
And my heartrate totally got frantic when Kame mentioned lawyers and I just knew what he was talking about. That's just so Kame. I just want to grab the Kame from, like, chapter five, and shove him into this one and grab some popcorn and just watch what happens on his face.
Glad Yuuya and Jin had a Kame talk. Yuuya's really such a sweet guy inside (and outside.) It's sad to think of Yuuya being in that line of work honestly. :/
So next chapter we get to see Jin meeting the parents huh? Good choice for a last chapter (omygosh can't believe it's the last thank goodness there'll be an epilogue.) I have absolutely no clue what you're going to do with that but I can't wait to find out.

Glad you liked Mikami! We liked him too, and we really liked the idea of giving Jin one last cigarette break for closure, so we're glad that worked.

It's all about whether you use your powers for good or evil. :-p
Yeah, Tanaka was a failbunny for ruining the surprise, but, well, he was entitled to all the fun he could get out of the situation and that included calling Kame to make fun of Jin and his willingness to staff the photocopier. And it's not like Jin remembered to swear him to secrecy. :)

Oh, goodie! This was an important bit for us to get right. It's not exactly traditional that the couple got their happy ending and then didn't jump into bed, but, yeah, it works differently. Lack of sex was never their problem. And we found it an interesting thing to speculate about, how it's going to feel to Jin to go from THAT MUCH SEX to no or 'normal' amounts of sex. And we figured it would take his body some getting used to. (Not that he minds.)
He is definitely showering less!! Though the lack of mentioned showers is not supposed to indicate that he doesn't shower at all, as we wouldn't want poor Kame to have a smelly boyfriend. :-p

Also glad that he's still going to catch up with Yuuya - it would have been a shame if he'd had to give up a friend with quitting - esp since he doesn't have that many. And they finally had the Kame talk.
And Kame gave him a pre-nup (except in reverse)
And Koki was a meanie with the teasing. Poor Jin, thinking he's going to end up as an adminstrative assistant Lol! I'm super glad the job opening was still there for him though.

The goodbye from Mikami was nice as well! And unexpected. But unexpected is a good thing here. :) And I think it's nicer for Jin to at least say his goodbye to like.. the most important people there? Because even though Mikami didn't appear often, he always seemed to some kind of a support for Jin.

God, that made me remember how much I disliked Kame in the first chapters and how I actually didn't want to go on reading this because after the thing with Kame, Jin and Yuya I was so afraid it would become even more angsty and Kame would be even more of an asshole. I'm so glad I didn't give up, though. Because present-Kame is awesome, he's cute and he really loves Jin. So different from Mr. grumpy-moody-arrogant-asshole. But now he's sweet and loving and he and Jin are awesome together. #flail
It's nice that Jin still wants to be in contact with Yuuya. But I guess it's a bit hard for him? He'd sure like to push everything club-related away from him now but Yuuya has become a close friend to him which is why he can't just give up on him. That's why it's good Jin's not aiming for a too clean break. :) Would have been sad if he just abandoned Yuuya. Q_Q (And it would have been very unlike Jin anyway...)
Also nice that Yuuya kind of doesn't hold a grudge against Kame anymore. Guess it was important that he and Jin talked about everything that has happened and well~

Still it's a bit sad that Jin probably won't ever see Yamatani again.
We agree, actually. :-| We're glad you liked their scene together and that that came across well. He was a good guy to Jin.
Jin was never at a T&T party, he's just heard about them. He has, all things considered, not been at the club that long, not even a full year. But yeah, they did (and do) happen.
HA HA HA WE FOOLED YOU. Erm. Yeah. We couldn't really withhold the music opportunity from Jin, especially if the alternative was washing plates somewhere. >_> BUT WE DID NOT MEAN TO BETRAY YOU PLEASE DON'T HATE US. :-p
Yeah, being friends with Yuuya definitely is not as clean-slate-y as Jin might like, but on the other hand he doesn't want to leave behind one of the few real friends he's got, so... he's just got to deal. He will.
And yeah, it's Kame's own fault for Jin's friends not trusting him. Ha ha. He can work on that. Boy likes a challenge, after all.
In in the end it'll have been a year and two months... and yeah, kinda weird, isn't it? *g*
