As you may or may not have noticed, last week we finished posting The Same Deep Water As You. The final word count, if you're curious, was 445,367 words, in 57 chapters plus epilogue.
And speaking of words. :) There are a few of you who really went above and beyond with the feedback, hanging in there all through the story and leaving us comments on almost every chapter, and we'd like to say a very big extra thank you to you guys. (And you know who you are.) A big part of the joy of posting is hearing what people think, and it meant a lot to us that we could look forward to what you had to say week after week. So to those regulars *cough* we'd like to offer thank-you ficlets-to-fic, about anything you'd love to see in the Same Deep Water universe. This can be a side story to something that happened in the main story, an event in the past, or something that'll happen in their future.
Two little things though:
1) If you pick an event, make sure it's something that either has happened or will happen, not an AU to the AU. I.e. 'Kame's first visit to the club' works, because that happened; something like 'Kame and Jin moving in together' also works, because that will happen.** 'Koki/Jin in the SDW universe' doesn't work, because it didn't and will never happen.
2) You (automatically) promise not to sulk if your ficlet happens to be shorter and someone else's happens to be longer! We're very open to all kinds of requests, but depth and length will vary with available time (!) and other circumstances, and we don't want to stress about anyone feeling that we love them less. (Sometimes we stress easily.)
**Recommendation: don't request that one. Of course you may, but it's going to be largely a non-event and not terribly entertaining to read. Used merely because it's a good example.
There's no hard time limit on this offer, though in about a week or so we'd probably like to take stock and see how much we've got. You can think about it, or if you want also check in the discussion post. We really appreciated you taking the time and hanging in there through all eleventy chapters, and if there was something more you wanted to see in this universe, please don't hesitate to let us write you a little thank-you, because you were awesome.

Um, I think the first four chapters went without my over-zealous feedback. Eligible...? ;)
Something I have wanted to see since the beginning: Jin telling Kame exactly why he freaked out so badly during their first meeting. It might seem like a horrible thing to ask for, but honestly I think Kame needs to know, and that after they've hashed it all out (Jin may need to call Kame stupid a few times,) I think it would ultimately bring them closer. I didn't want to ask for a flashback because then Jin wouldn't be able to gloss over the worst of the horribleness and there would be no Kame cuddles.
I'm also extremely curious.*covers face*It's so sweet of you both to offer this. Especially since I'm sure you have enough other material to write about well into the next decade.

But Kame and Yuuya... well, there's a rapprochement needed there anyway, and we were thinking of a situation where we'd throw Kame, Jin and Yuuya together (NOT IN BED!), and... okay, that wasn't the kind of situation where a hamster would necessarily feature but we could easily make it so. :)

I love a lot the fluffy comfort and the little details that show how they care about each other.
I really have tons of different ideas and I don't know what kind you will prefer to write, so I will tell you about one and you can tell me after if it's absolutely NOOOO.
So I like to read about future, maybe something like Jin having first concert, his life is stable and he is calm and happy/ he wants to make something for Kame, like romantic evening. prepare something to eat, with wine, that Kame loves and maybe even candles. But Jin is little bit nerveous, he wants everytning to be perfect. so maybe he failed in some moments and maybe Kame will smile and Jin feels upset little bit. Just the fluffy evening, with love and with understandhing how happy they both are having each other.
He even can cover Kame eyes to show the present, that he prefers.
I'm very very sorry for being so late Orz
