Author notes: jo_lasalle totally lucked out and won deshisoraba in the help_pilipinas auction (well, won her commissioned artwork, but this way sounds more fun *cough*), and she made us this awesome banner. Which we thought was so hot and adorable that there should be fic for it. So this is that story. Thank you so much, deshisoraba, you were such a win in more ways than one!
A big thank you also to tiggymalvern for a quick and very spontaneous beta -- thank you, Tiggy, that was great!
Story notes: First time. Set in 2007. Later inconveniences conveniently ignored, because that's the way we roll these days.

Wow this Akame's "First" is so hot and sweet I could die. They are so real, together, so funny, sexy, clumsy.. everything I love.
Could you tell us also about their "Second" and "Third" and everything down the line??? Could you? (*sparkling AND puppy eyes*)

When I started, I told to myself, ok this time do it in the right way, read and take notes, so that you'll be able to tell them your favourite sentences and so on, and I did it, for just 5 minutes.. then I forgot to take notes and just dig into the story..

First note I took: "Kamenashi's sitting at the side, fumbling in some eyedrops because it's better if he looks like he occasionally sleeps." This made me laught immediately.

Then I was totally moved when I read "When Kame turns around he looks like someone much younger", because it's beautiful.. one moment we are seeing Kame The Cool and in the next he's just a young man, in love since forever with his best friend.. a best friend who's telling him he missed him and.. it’s a moment that hits you in many ways. I felt a sort of “thump” in my heart, really.
But all their dialogue about this thing Jin wants to..convey, is so fluid, so full of emotions. I loved it.

And I loved the way Kame went through three stages..

STAGE1: "Well, that's grand of you." Kame grabs his stupid glittery Prada bag like it's a bear he wants to wrestle. Then he's at the door and gets his best level stare on. "But it bothers me. It's bad for work and it's bad for me. So I'd be grateful if we could avoid incidents like this one, no matter how 'okay' you are these days."
"No," Jin blurts out, way too loud.
Kame closes the door, but leaves his hand on the knob like he's ready to run. "What the hell is that supposed to mean."

Here I see the doubt, Kame doesn’t understand, BUT of course he feels something.. perhaps hope? I think it’s hope, but it’s just something very subtle. Because Jin rejected him, left for US..

STAGE2: “It means..." What the hell does it mean? That he doesn't want this, that's what it means. "I miss you," he says.
When Kame turns around he looks like someone much younger. Kame was often more afraid when he was younger. "What's that supposed to mean."

This is breathtaking, really. Kame now is afraid, scared. I think that the possibility, of Jin meaning what he’s saying is just really scaring.

STAGE3: "I wish I'd done that differently too."
Kame is watching him with the most cagey attention. "Not kissed that guy?"
"Done it with you instead."
The silence holds on that. For a moment it's not Kame's eyes that have got him frozen, it's his own head, yes, that, and you stupid stupid idiot, half a friendship and too much fucked-up time slotting into place.
"Now what is that supposed to mean," Kame asks quietly.

Kame is quiet. Too overwhelmed. He has to recognize Jin’s words. It’s like a defeat. He hoped, he was scared that it may be true, that Jin was really going THERE, and finally, the words are out, and he’s lost.

I. Love. This. Part.

Then they are driving home, and Kame is careful, and then they are kissing on the couch and Kame is careful and finally Kame is not careful anymore and I’m completely in heaven ^__^

And “But Kame has noticed and Kame has stopped doing that delicious vampire thing and is unsticking them so he can look at Jin, like he's waiting to see how Jin will respond. To his own dick, and something about this is just bizarre.” This was brilliant.

And, at some point before this, there was “Jin twists about as graceful as a flapping salmon“ that made me laugh like crazy.

All in all, a perfect story and a perfect connection with the emotions of that night.

I think I want to add something about the last part, but it's better to organize my toughts and come back later.

HMMMMM. It's... complicated. *g* We're not normally into sequels for our one-shots, but we admit that with this verse in particular, we ourselves were kind of intrigued what their second time and their third time would look like, including the 'everything down the line'. *g* Only we're really kind of short on PLOT to go with it, and writing an entire verse consisting only of 'important sex scenes Jin and Kame had over the course of a year' is a bit... weird.

So we actually KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN, only we don't really know how to deal with it yet.

Heeee, the thing with the notes and getting distracted made us grin. But we appreciate all this awesome feedback and your comments on their development. :D

First, you should know you made my weekend even more perfect *___*. Oh my... how I missed good fics in my life, I think I'm becoming picky with them. I used to read almost everything, now I only read stuff from 2/3 writers (yeah and you're into the group). I missed your fics so muchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh *clings* at least I can stalk you in other places nyahahahahaha And after this vague comment, I must comment it.

How can you write so hot and direct? */////* I mean, from the beginning, you created an obvious sexual tension hard-ons aside which makes you fall down into the story. I always love Jin's POV *////////////////////* U usually portrait him with that hints of innocence (not talking about sexual innocence here), being always transparent for the reader. And with those lame comments dñkfhñskdjfñdskfjñsdlkfjñsdlkfj. It shows his dorky vs cool!Jin, innocent vs pervert, reflexive vs impulsive. And I love how you show him as a person very observant. He pays a lot of attention to little details which might only be noticed by Kame. The way Jin is so fond of the touching it seems not so into the kissing as Kame XD, wanting Kame all over him Oh god~~~~

You sneaked a coherent background without torturing us with big flashbacks which would delay the story orz that's one of the things I HAVE to learn from your writing. That's one of points which makes your story this fluent and easy-reading. And catching. And lasdkjfñsakdjfñasdkjhfslkjfh becoming incoherent again, it's your fault. Could I add here a personal comment here? I'll do it anyway xDDD. Well, I was wondering if 5ks of smut can be acceptable for the reader, without getting bored about the detais, because that's happening in my current one-shot currently on going. You've proved to me it's possible actually desiring even moarrrrrrrr, so I'll continue my path with my own story and long detailed scene xDDDDD.

But after this, the one-shot ended, and I went all teary, and wanting more, and crying aloud because I know you're not going to continue this when I'm so so so so hoping more scenes about Jin being introduce to more gay-stuff-action. And I know I'm not going to have more about Jin being all mushy and fluffy, with the sappiness all around. And I'm not going to have more about Kame stopping holding back and enjoying freely and stop worring so much, ORZZZZZZZZZZZ you are so evil ;__________________; Leave me alone with my sadness.

The leather intro was awesome, with the eyebrow and pretending to be fine, and then how there's no flashback but just them throwing things at each other, all that tension. And Jin being brave enough to actually start that conversation, and then asking, without any plans. I love this Jin.

Lol I like this random hysteric silliness before the storm. Very realistic.

You know, the whole "trying dick" thing is very, very hotly written. *-* One of the great things about the way you write sex is that I never know what's going to happen one line down, two lines down, it's just not predictive, because so much is going on, and so much detail is noted. And I liked that, because Jin also never knows what's going to happen next as in he doesn't know how he'll feel about it, so he doesn't really think ahead much for most of the stuff they do.

In the history of blowjobs I've read, this felt fresh and exciting and it certainly stood out. I usually can't remember much about the sex in most stories I read, but with you two, I could probably remember years down the line. And it's not just because they're hot, it's the way they're so connected to the actual people who do it, not random Slot A goes into... stuff. In this one, the sweetness and nervousness and not-freaking-out and stand-stop edging along and how Jin is so into it because it's Kame

And then he almost gets his hand squished because Kame sinks down on him and goes for the full deal, open mouth and tongue and pushing against him so his leg slips off the side, and it's funny how it all turns into Kame being really fucking strong.

HOT. AS I SAID.

Kame licks his lips, slowly, and puts out his hand. Slowly. Puts it there. Jin thinks he'll have a heart attack. Or come, or something.
"Now?" Kame asks.
"Nope," Jin croaks.

But beds are scaaaaaary. We agree it would have been way more comfortable in the bed, actually, and probably at the end Jin thought that too. But beds are way more 'official' -- the couch is more flexible in terms of how far you might want to go and how much of your clothes you're going to keep on. So for the step-by-step approach, the couch worked better. *g*

I can soooo see it happen, the way Jin rejects Kame only to start seriously thinking about it after... and Kame's "hard-won lack of naivety" made me crack up there, seriously :P "You decide you want to try dick between take number four and lunch and I'm just supposed to volunteer for your little experiment?" oh, sugoi :D I was totally, "Yeah Kame you're sooo right" and in the meantime I wanted him to give Jin his chance :D
And I'm not even going into detail about the gorgeous smut because, seriously, I don't have words left -.- It's vivid and real and breathtaking and funny.... I think you have a new fan :DDDDDD btw, what about RedK? I'm soo waiting forward to it :D

We're happy you found this plausible... yeah, we figured Jin might have been a 'freaks out first and thinks about it after' kind of guy here in the early days. :) And poor Kame, he doesn't have it easy with him. At least he's got to tell him how preposterous he's being, right?

We love hearing that our sex scenes work. It's always so hard to know whether things will come across right for 'people not us'. But 'vivid' and 'real' sounds good, and we love it when we can make them a little funny, too, because it's weird when everything is So. Very. Serious.

RedK... we are beavering away at it, and the first draft has just come close to the 20k mark - that's about a third of what we estimate it'll be. We're writing as fast as we can... ^_^;
