Week 5 1/2: Tuesday

Sometimes, he wishes he had a dog. A big smart one, one Sara could use for a pony. He'd take it for walks three, four times a day, because you can't keep a dog like that shut up in a little box of an apartment like Jin's, any more than you should keep a sane human shut up in it. Jin doesn't know how he managed to stick it out in there all day during the last few months. It's crazy-making.

Instead of the dog he doesn't have he takes music, finds out how far east an old Rihanna album will get him, if a DaMoppaz one will take him the same distance back. On Tuesday morning, he invents a game where he has to change direction every time Dr Dre says 'fuck' and sees where he ends up at the end of the album.

He cheats once when Dr Dre seems determined to make him fall under the Keiyou line, and eventually ends up in the yard behind a Korean laundry where people give him funny looks.

He walks to the warehouse lot, too. Not for work, since Appendix-san has recovered from his surgery and Jin's back to his weekend box. But he's been invited to lunch with colleagues, as a thank you for his amazing lot-walking at short notice, and for the sake of career-building he didn't dare say no.

Anyway, he walks, it gives him an aim.

They go to a little Chinese place, and Jin gets introduced amidst lots of bowing all around. They're nice guys, all eight of them, wanting to talk mostly about baseball and the qualifiers for the Asian Games. Jin doesn't have to say much, just be the junior colleague with the underemployment problem who's turning his life around, or whatever they think; they don't bug him about it.

Only one guy seems to know he was a Johnny's, because he takes Jin aside and asks hesitantly if he can get his little daughter an autograph of a boy called Morimoto who is ten years old and in KITTY-KISS-ME. Discreet, and Jin is grateful, and he's a little sorry to say no, he can't. Well, he might be able to get one for a blow job, but he's not quite that sorry. And he doesn't say that either.

Besides, he's not sure who runs the pedo idols, he thinks that might be Julie. He's so out of the loop, it's unreal.

"You have children, don't you, Akanishi-kun?" Appendix-san asks him with an inviting smile. He's being kind, finding the thing they have in common, and Jin bows gratefully and tries to be modest about his kids.

Colleagues. A thought to get used to again, over and over, but maybe it'll help that these are all guys, even if they have daughters. Maybe this will last.

I want Jin to have work and friendly colleagues, and unless he's suddenly going to become a Johnny's again with Kame's help or even take Johnny's position (it's a crazy world, who knows?), I want this job to last for him. This is too much. I had to catch up from week 4 onwards because I hadn't been able to read your updates last week. OMG. "On Friday, I'll fuck you" must be my favourite line now. The whole scene of Jin with the kids, the ice cream, the duck, the sunday special. Meisa being so cute (and and letting Jin come to the party) I even liked her xD

I can't just tell you everything I liked about the chapters I had missed because then it'd be like the neverending story xD And please kill me now because I hadn't realized you post days separately *facepalm* I just read from haikuesque.net so I read week by week, not day by day. Now I want to kill myself because I could've gotten my updates more often :c

jin's feeling at home with his new colleagues..that's nice..i guess its simpler this way than working in johnny's or in the entertainment world..more straightforward and less politics at work..not that i want this to end for jin, because he seem to want this to last, but i'm hoping there's more for him in the future (more kame, more music works)

this chapter seems so normal..8 co-workers sharing anecdotes about their children..i kind of like it..though its amusing that one of them knows him as a former johnny's..

Awww, I'm really happy for Jin, things are finally looking up for him! :D I think it'll be great for him to have a life besides his kids and Kame, at least with his colleagues he can really just relax and feel normal again and not like a loser. And then he's got Kame sex to look forward to, life is good, ha ha ha.

But it's cool that Jin is getting along with his colleagues. That he's buildung up something and talks to people not Kame or Meisa or his kids. Even if it's not about anything meaningful, but well. :)

Though the part is short I've so many feels. :) Where to start...

Well first of ROFL @ appendix-san...I genuinely grinned EACH time his name was mentioned... The pedo-idols one's cute too... :D

Also, Jin's "see where the MP3 player takes me" game is cute...I'd do that if only I had the time... :)

And oh JinJin...The way the story is evolving...Just might be that a few more weeks down the line you could pretty much have the world at you feet for a blow-job or two... :D lol :P Granted this is all going towards a happy ending which I hope/pray/demand it is... 0:)

And as much as we're all craving Friday here I feel like it's really too soon for anything even LIKE what Kame promised...So even if nothing out-of-ordinary happens Friday between I'll live. :) So long as they have their usual awkward interaction over a drink... :) Cause sometimes I think that maybe Jin would REALLY go into hiding after that...Considering how awkward it was for him on Sunday already...Then again maybe I think too innocent and stuff of him since I don't know their back story yet in this fic..Ahhhh he drama....Wish we could get some more of a glimpse into what happened between them years back...

Also, I might be somewhat of a fortune-teller but I was 99% sure we'd get updates every day this week til Friday...And despite how they're all short and not Kame-related, I really like it this way. Like I prefer this little bit but every day posting style cause for me personally it makes me feel closer to the characters and story. Jin's like my neighbour I see eachday after work now (since I generally read this at night after work). And it has also helped me keep track of the days in the story...Cause before I had to often count back to figure out how much time actually passed since Akame's previous play-date or Jin's kids visit. Now it's so easy to keep track like this. THANK YOU! :)

And I feel like I still forgot to mention some things I wanted to say but oh well...Crappy memory is like my best friend so ja... :/
