A/N: In the next days there'll be some in-between snapshots we decided to write because the next big update is still a bit away. They are all 1½ drabble length.
Sunday
He sleeps a lot on Sunday. He dreams of police lights and grey breathless fog. When he's awake, he has the news on low and a restless itch under his skin. He wants Kame's hands, soft and cigarettes and all, to smooth it away, and knows Kame wouldn't have time to even stand still.
He keeps the curtains half-closed, the phone within reach, and sometimes he starts at his own shadow. The idea that the worst is over is still new.
He speaks to his kids, annoys Sara by getting sappy and tongue-tied in the middle of her story about flopsybunny's ride in the washing machine.
"I'll have HR draw up your contract tomorrow," Kame says the fourth time he calls, every word stiff, filtered through lawyers and sharks.
The sixth time it's, "We've chosen a funeral home."
Jin thinks about ghosts and haunting and sleeps with the light on.

I was thinking earlier how there really isn't much about their feelings for each other ; they undeniably want each other physically but even if you write about how this 'relationship' affects them and their lives it's not the same.
But these little things like how Jin worries for Kame's well-being, wants him to sleep or eat... and now he actually misses him. And I don't think it's just physical anymore.

Kame has no free time at all and yet he's still calling Jin to keep him informed (and not just saying, "I'm working on things"), yet another step in the right direction!
I used to sleep with the light on after watching horror films, now I can't sleep with the light on unless I'm really exhausted - must be a sign I'm getting old! Jin, on the other hand, is still a child at heart!
There, a comment that doesn't challenge LJ's character limit for once!

Jin's scaredycatness (in some respects) will never cease to baffle and amuse us, but, yeah, he totally is. In some respects.

Jin has to be a little more patient it seems. (And me, too. ;__;) It's cute anyway, how Jin misses it already. And that he doesn't seem to mind Kame's hands being soft and smelling like cigarettes as long as they're touching him.
LOL at Jin annoying Sara! That's so like him. *g* I hope she already overcame the shock that her dad doesn't wear a uniform anymore!
It's great how relaxed Jin is after he's talked to his kids. How just talking to them or hearing about them calms him down and suddenly the world is a little better.
And Kame keeping Jin updated is great, too. This is some improvement compared to before. And Kame is not only calling him for sex anymore. :P Also I wonder if Kame calling Jin has the same effect on Kame as Jin calling his kids has. <3
You can't keep the ghosts away from poor Jin, mh? XDD
