Wednesday

Jin goes in last.

A measured walk down the aisle, towards the mountain of flowers. It's enormous. Anyone who's anything in the business sent something, rivalries played out in bouquet sizes. Jin's head is dizzy, sweet scents and candles and beautiful music. He bows, counts out the seconds, and tries not to feel anything.

She looks happy on the picture, smiling. Now she's gone.

Outside in the large hall, it's a press of dark suits and bright idol hair, and more flowers. Hushed voices. Jin's silence fits in, is safe and appropriate. He nods at Kame in passing, and Kame nods back from across the room. Beside him, Johnny is leaning heavily on his stick and occasionally sniffing at the orchid in his buttonhole.

Jin went in last and alone. They thought it was fitting for a lost sheep. The reporters have seen him anyway, and the whispers are everywhere.

I can almost picture Julie's funeral as one big production.

The reporters have seen him anyway, and the whispers are everywhere.

A chance for Jin to reintroduce himself to the entertainment world.

The lost sheep have been found. The prodigal son have come back.

All those agency people and reporters must be going crazy trying to figure out what the sudden prominent Jin reappearance since the suicide is all about. Teehee.

We admittedly wanted 1.5 drabbles per day because the 100 words limit wasn't working well. >_> But thank you! It's fun every once in a while trying to write within that constraint.

its kinda weird that jin's reintroduction to the entertainment industry is thru julie's death and funeral..
maybe after the production number that is julie's funeral, everyone can breathe a sigh of relief(?)..
and jin being johnny's long lost sheep, not a bad description for jin..

I actually don't know what to say, LOL, this was simple, to the point. Nice funeral. As much trouble as Julie caused, well, if you think about it, both her and Kame were just fiercely determined to make things the way they thought was right. She just lost. :P

True true. XD There's always a catch somewhere with life I realize. In Jin's case, the people he worked with were really nice, but the pay is terrible. Now his pay will be better but he has to deal with people avoiding him, being rude to him and/or whispering things behind his back all the time. I know he'll prolly get used to it again eventually, he's a tough cookie. <3

Well that's gotta be on purpose, letting Jin go to the funeral. Or maybe necessary, since he was spotted alongside Kame when they went into the office on the day of Julie's death. I think silence is indeed appropriate here, and what would Jin say anyway. It's not like he knew her.

Mountains of flowers...so who won the prize for the biggest bouquet? And is there another prize for the most expensive?

I see Kame is keeping Johnny firmly under control, must be difficult if all the kids have to show up in person too.

Jin is not lost! and even if he was, Kame would (and did!) find him!

2nd time the press are seeing Jin. Figures that her death is far more important than Jin arriving at the JE building with Kame. :D

Ueda can be pretty intimidating for somebody so dainty looking. But Jin can deal with Kame, so he'll manage Ueda no problem.

Another good strategic movement to let Jin go to the funeral. After he was seen at the agency with Kame, it makes sense. And it would be really strange if he wasn’t there when they will later announce he’s back in the company. (I just assume they'll announce this with a press conference and all. *g*) Jin the little lost sheep that was found again by its shepherd dog and properly taken care of until everything is all right again and back to normal.

I hope Johnny was okay and Kame didn’t have too much of a hard time keeping him away from all the young boys. >___>;;; But Johnny seemed to have it all together when Kame was talking about the funeral arrangements earlier, so maybe he’ll be fine and able to hold back that day?
