Prompt:


Prophecy

We live like this. Furred, static, barely sentient, perched on weirdoes' heads, eyes forever staring in opposite directions.

But there is the Promise.

For when the time comes – please may it come soon – we go; go away, and become.

White and nimble and sleek we become, dance in the water, onto the jig, to be lifted, taken...

Far away, in To-ki-o, he waits. The master, the guardian of the next stage. His love for us is strong, his laughter infectious, his lips delightful. Tasting, savouring, saving us; pronouncing us...

"Oishii."

The word is the key.

We become, again.

Prompt: commando

Kame runs around without underwear all the time, Jin tells himself. Okay, at home, not in a busy beer garden at Nakamaru's birthday party, surrounded by KAT-TUN and half of NEWS and a hundred strangers. He's wishing he'd picked his usual baggy trousers instead of tight jeans, but that would be pointless, because...

...the point is that Kame is biting his lip whenever he looks at Jin, his face more flushed than two beers warrant. The heat in his eyes makes Jin brave, not run away to change. Makes it worth it. For you, he smiles, and doesn't even giggle.

Prompt: drink a little drink for me

"Just drink the damn stuff," Jin says, pouring out the measure optimistically, but Kame shakes his head.

"This shit makes you zonky. I need to focus tonight."

"You'll focus like that?"

"Done it before."

"You're a masochist."

"I'm a professional," Kame snaps when Jin has trapped him against the wall. He turns his head away when Jin raises the cup, but Jin just leans in closer. "Hey, watch my germs!"

"So do something about those germs," Jin challenges. "Or do you want us both to cough up a lung?" He leans in threateningly, watching Kame trying not to breathe. "Well?"

Prompts:



Dusk

They've finished Kame's Chambertin and are pretending it's affected them more than half a bottle of red should. It makes it easier to be playful, admit they're uncertain – even Kame for whom this isn't so new. As darkness falls outside, they huddle close together and giggle giddily about lube.

Dawn

The shadows on Kame's ceiling look just like any other time Jin's woken up here. He feels just like any other time, not weird or anything. It's weird to think he worried. Kame, snoring softly beside him, is smiling, and all things considered, Jin thinks this was probably long overdue.

Prompt: rubber duck

There's the frog song coming from the bathroom.

"He really has a lovely voice," Kame's mom says. Kame rolls his eyes, but smiles in Jin's direction anyway.

The door is open. Jin's sitting on the bathmat, pretending it's the yellow duck singing about frogs, to squeals and splashes from Kame's niece.

"Surely he's not still dieting?" his mom asks anxiously. She wants to make tempura later. Last time they stayed for dinner Jin was worried about the concerts.

"No, he'll make you happy," Kame says, and gets a stern look for his trouble.

Happy. Kame smiles. That sounds about right.

For goldfreckled, who deserted the internet.

Kame isn't sure how it started. Somehow doing dishes was involved, and rap, and manly hats.

"You always want long hair," Jin says. "And I can grow a beard."

Kame manfully refrains from mentioning Jin's goldilocks phase. "I have more hair on one leg than you grow on your whole body in a month."

"Do not." But Jin's starting to look worried.

Kame drops his pants with a practiced move. "Wanna check?"

Jin's eyes narrow. He fumbles at his belt. "Just wait."

There's a cough from the doorway.

"Not asking questions," Koki says. "But we're waiting for dessert through here."

I am new to JE RPF. I did not know there were JE fandom people on DW (my native habitat). I am so excited.

I try not to ask writing partners to speak for each other, but that sounds like you're saying I'm cool to friend Solo, too. Is that right?

There are very few JE people on DW. There's a moribund KAT-TUN comm, and, well, lots of us who have LJs also have journals on DW, but half of those never post there, and... it's messy.

I was actually always really keen to move away from LJ, but all KT related stuff is happening here, no doubt about that. (Well. When it's not happening on twitter. :-/ ) We mirrored haikusociety on DW for a while, and gave that up because as far as we could tell, nobody ever read anything there.

DW is great, but some fandoms just... aren't going there. :-/

(Blah blah blah blah blah tl;dr... you've hit on a button of mine because I hate LJ with a passion and feel kind of trapped here. So once you start me ranting I'm all RantyMcRant and will never shut up again. *g*)

Oh, and Jo and I have lived in each other's pockets, inboxes, phones and apartments about 16 hours a day every day for the last 2 1/2 years while we were writing the whore-epic, so yeah, she can usually speak for me. If she speaks out of turn, I'll just poke the voodoo doll again.

... I found haikusociety on DW first, I think. So! I would read it there. Friended this one only the other day.

I am a lot happier myself on DW, because I (sometimes) write filthy porn and LJ have been known to not like you when you do that. And thinking about trying to guess whether my filthy porn was acceptable filthy porn or unacceptable filthy porn killed my urge to write for a while, so, yeah. Not saying this as a manifesto for all, but DW for me. So, yeah, I see your rant. *imagine a rueful faced emoticon going here* I'm using Ao3 as a sort of halfway house, trying to get LJ based folk to read me there if DW is not suitable for them.

I do not have a twitter. But now that Jin does, I begin to reconsider this.

Yeah, we were using DW for essentially 'mirroring' haikusociety because we never felt quite safe with LJ's weird attitudes. (We, um, write a lot of filthy porn. Yay for filthy porn!) Then AO3 came along and actually, that's even better than DW because it's simply fic-friendlier in terms of format. People can download to various ebook formats, there are no meaningful restrictions in word count... it's much less hassle getting something into a readable offline format (which I like) than on either LJ (which SUCKS) *or* DW. And now that we're also mirroring on our own website, there's just a limit to how many places I feel like posting every week. /excuses

I'm really not fond of twitter. It's so disorganized, it's so easy to miss stuff if you aren't awake at just the right time and don't feel like backreading hundreds of entries - but a lot of the fandom is now happening there. It feels a bit like when everybody moved from mailing lists to LJ. But, well, I guess it's the future! So I try to keep up. :-)

Watching the Jin tweets and the responses is just... insane! And insanely fun. :-)

We love banter between them, too, and it's something we really enjoy writing. As for Koki... well, he'll get used to the thought of finding the two of them pantless in random kitchens. ;-)
