Deep Water: Jin's and Kame's background

haikusocietySince so many of you have been wondering, here's a quick overview of Jin's and Kame's background in the AU.
What Jin tries to forget about his past is that his mother always dressed him as a hamster until he ran away from home to join a circus... where they thought his hamster act was amazing. This traumatized him deeply, because he had hoped to get away from all that. Leaving the circus after two unhappy weeks (and taking their star performing dog John with him) he fell in with a group of travelling nudists and spent a happy summer with them. The following winter, though, he began to feel the cold and tried to think of a way to remain nude in warmer temperatures - a sex club seemed to offer the perfect environment, particularly a high-end, well-heated establishment like Johnny's.
Kame's background is equally tragic. Brought up since birth by an 'education mama' who despised sport and the arts, he indulged his baseball and acting fantasies behind locked doors and in the closet under his parents' stairs. After a distressing incident which saw him locked in there accidentally and not released until his parents returned from a two-week vacation in Hawaii, he decided things had to change. He found a girl who was willing to support his acting fetish and quickly married her; to his parents' dismay he showed considerable talent and soon became famous. His childhood had left its scars, however, and the absence of the much-loved baseball bats during his formative years has caused a considerable preoccupation with phallic objects of any sort, most particularly phalluses. He visits the club because his and his wife's experiments with strap-ons just haven't been as good as the real thing.
