Date: 2011-05-12 08:39 am (UTC)Love this chapter~~
Finally I know why Jin love being together with Yamatani than Kamenashi...
Yamatani so kind to him, ne^^

Date: 2011-05-12 05:33 pm (UTC)Yes, Jin really appreciates Yamatani. :-) With good reason. For someone going to a whorehouse, he's a very decent guy!

Date: 2011-05-12 09:49 am (UTC)So was Jin in an abusive relationship before? Hmm, I'm so curious and you're so teasing with the sloooow progress of info.
Yuuya in a skirt...not hard to picture him liking that *lol*
I'm glad Jin had a better day with Yamatani and I like the Yokoyama encounter, looking forward what's gonna come out of this. Overall though it's really depressing...if you get into the thought of living a life like that~

Date: 2011-05-12 05:39 pm (UTC)Yeah, Yuuya is only starting to fulfill his whole potential at this point. ;-) We see no problem with skirts either!
We're not surprised you find it a bit depressing; Jin would agree, though he's trying to make the best of it when people let him. *g* Yokoyama was a blast to write, so we're glad you enjoyed that! And Yamatani -- we are pleased he is getting positive recognition. We like him almost as much as Jin does.
Thank you for the feedback!!

Date: 2011-05-12 06:12 pm (UTC)We will refrain from our usual habit of interrogating you for specifics but will instead just apologize for the heartbreak. :-) We're very pleased you're still reading!
And yep. Kame not gud for Jin's poor brain. At all. :-/

Date: 2011-05-12 06:19 pm (UTC)what i meant was that since canon!jin's family seems to be really cool, it's one of the things that you don't realize you take for granted when it comes to AUs, but it's still there..?? so once that talk with shige about subaru came up, i kind of wondered just about why jin's family wasn't supporting him... etc etc. it's sad that jin's mom doesn't care about jin...T_________T he's such a momma's boy alkdjslvkjaja
i, i guess after it gets worse, it will get better.....coz it can't get.. worse..er....... >>

Date: 2011-05-12 06:32 pm (UTC)Hey, look at our word counts! WE DO RAMBLING AROUND HERE. *g*
Also, this is great. We were actually wondering how you were putting things together re the family, and especially intrigued because you read the first eight chapters already with the, we assume, slightly more intense beta hat on.
Authorial Note: Jin's parents in this story are definitely NOT like his real parents. You'll notice that they both have a different sibling situation than IRL, and [Notes From The Workroom] that wasn't even about plot reasons; it was because we really wanted to put some distance between Jin's real parents, who by all accounts sound pretty cool, and these parents, who are really...not. We would feel really bad if it seemed like we were writing them as being like that, and not fictional characters.
(Which is probably ironic given what we have done to Jin.)
So thanks a lot for elaborating on the family!
i, i guess after it gets worse, it will get better.....coz it can't get.. worse..er....... >>

Date: 2011-05-12 06:07 pm (UTC)You know, we really thought we'd get more eeek feedback about the old-guy sex. Now we're a bit stunned that we seem to have traumatized people so much that they actually appreciate it. And pleased with ourselves. :D
And Yoko is just a blast to write after Jin's angst and Kame's, er, mental issues.

Date: 2011-05-12 05:03 pm (UTC)Honestly, last week I thought that I'd really love to read about an encounter between Kame and Tatsuya. After all, Jin made certain hints to him about Kame, plus Tatsuya gave him that strange look in the club... Despite Tatsuya's politeness, I bet he's bursting from curiosity. And it would be interesting to see how they behave with each other since it's supposed to be very different than with Jin.
It was nice to read though how relaxed Jin was with Yamatani. Very positive actually and comfortable. They are so gentle with each other, kinda caring. Truth to be told, I was reserved first about Jin with another guy. But then, you kept it vague and still included all the important details and it felt absolutely right. It has to be like that for the story and it was great that Jin felt more at ease for once.
I liked this chapter because again we get to know more about Jin. The phone call with his brother was actually touching and revealing. There's a lot to find out still and makes me want to know more. I often feel sorry for Jin though because there's a lot of pain there even if he won't show.
On the positive side, I really adore the relationship Jin <---> Yuya. It's very cute! It's like he got a substitute brother, since he can't see his own family.
Already waiting for next thursday! :)

Date: 2011-05-12 06:24 pm (UTC)Yeah, Kame would really like an encounter with Tatsuya again, too. :p
We're pleased that the scene with Yamatani worked out okay. It would be a bit weird of us to write Jin as a prostitute and not occasionally show him with a client, in a story as long as this!
The phone call was tough, yeah. But as authors we are of course glad you're interested in more. And thank you for the comment on Yuuya, we're pleased that's working. Jin doesn't have too many people in his life that aren't, well, clients, so this is important to him! (Also, we do like writing someone on occasion who isn't as angsty as Jin *g*)
Thanks very much for this lovely feedback! Comments like this make Thursdays great fun for us, too. :)

Date: 2011-05-12 10:10 pm (UTC)By the way speaking of Jin's friends (that are not clients)... there's Tomo (=Pi) I think? I guess we'll hear more about him later :)
And you're very welcome. <3 I bet it's a lot of work writing this huge fic! Since I'm enjoying this, the least I can do in return is comment properly ne. おつかれ さま です!:)

Date: 2011-05-14 06:52 pm (UTC)You have correctly spotted a Pi! Jin likes Thursdays too, cause then he gets to sing and see Tomo. *g*
We have to admit, we've joked sometimes that this story felt like a second job. *g* But we did have a lot of fun, too. And now we're having even more fun when we're getting such wonderful comments.

Date: 2011-05-17 08:14 pm (UTC)And I'm already looking forward to read this Thursday. Only one more day to go! :D And I think I deserve it this week since I caught a nasty virus all of a sudden and am really not feeling well. So the fanfic update will surely cheer me up :)

Date: 2011-05-17 08:20 pm (UTC)We have nice castles too! And much colder beer!
;-) Fingers crossed for your internship, I had a blast when I was in Scotland and I hope you will too!
Though sorry to hear about your nasty virus. We do hope the chapter will cheer you up... though we never make guarantees about this epic and 'cheering up'. *g*

Date: 2011-05-18 02:29 pm (UTC)Like Jo, I'd hesitate to guarantee cheer in this epic for a while to come yet, but I hope your virus disappears soon!

Date: 2011-05-12 08:26 pm (UTC)Ah we finally get some information about Jin's past; that's really sad about his family situation. We get a name! Naoki. And I am assuming this is the guy who is at least somewhat responsible for Jin being what he is, as well as not believing in the 'love fairytale.' I really want to know about this guy and Jin...
The Yoko part was pretty funny, very amusing. I will look forward to when he and Jin have interaction again.
Jin's relationship with Yamatani is interesting. You've made it clear that he isn't the youngest (or most attractive) client among them, but Jin prefers him because he's nice and civil, and treats Jin like a person. Whereas with Kame, who happen to be, um, unbelievably gorgeous *coughs* Jin doesn't want to have anything to do with him simply because Kame is so horrible to him. I guess, especially in a prostitute's line of work, you definitely learn to value what is on the inside of a person rather than what is on the outside.
No Kame-chan at all in this chapter. I miss him even though he's a jerk. We need much more information on both of their pasts dang it!
Thanks so much for this.
(no subject)
Date: 2011-05-14 06:53 pm (UTC)Well, it's worth repeating? :-|
Yes, Naoki is quite important in terms of Jin's story. Glad you liked Yoko, we had so much fun writing him. As for Yamatani... well, it's complicated, in general we think it definitely also helps if a client is young and pretty, as long as he's not an asshole? But yeah, for somebody like Jin kindness is more important than hotness, and not getting freaked out by a guy counts for a lot here.
Kame-chan will be back. :-) And don't worry, you'll find out more about his past too as we go along. LOTS.
Thank you for the comment, it's great to see what you pick up on.

Date: 2011-05-12 09:09 pm (UTC)(idiot me already checked one minute past midnight if you have possibly uploaded it yet v_v°)
I love the way the two just have to think about each other all the time. When the "kink talk" came up, I couldn't help but wonder if Jin, too, will be talked into adding some kinks to his portfolio :) Can't wait for the next Jin-Kame interaction :) Can you tell how many chapters I'll have to wait? ^^
(no subject)
Date: 2011-05-14 06:56 pm (UTC)They are really in each other's heads -- even if they wish they weren't! Ootomo would appreciate it if Jin could be talked into broadening his kink portfolio, for sure. but he knows a lost cause when he sees one!
You'll have to wait a weeee bit longer for the next Akame interaction. They'll see each other in chapter 13. (After that, it'll be quite a lot of Akame for a while, with some of the longest chapters we have.)

Date: 2011-05-13 04:42 am (UTC)I had to fake a coughing fit to cover my laughter at Tego admitting he wouldn't terribly mind wearing a skirt (reading at work is getting BAD for my health... but I just CAN'T wait till I get home!).
And I love we're getting to know jin better little by little... is like unwrapping a gift, slowly so you can enjoy it more :)
I cringed a little all through Yamatani's part, but it was great reading that Jin just won't stop thinking about Kame.... although it's in a bad way... I'm dying to know how they will sort some things or if they even will...
Thanks for this girls!!!

Date: 2011-05-14 07:04 pm (UTC)Thank you. This is such a wonderful comment on the club parts.
Sorry for the cough! It's Tego, he does things to people. ;-)
is like unwrapping a gift, slowly so you can enjoy it more :-)
HEE! We will totally steals this as a justification for writing a 400k epic. It was just very well wrapped!!! *g* Thank you.
But seriously, we like hearing you're enjoying the Jin stuff. It's not just Kame who's had a complicated life that got him where he is today.
We actually thought we'd get way more eeeek reactions over Yamatani, so we were well prepared. :-)
I'm dying to know how they will sort some things or if they even will...
*insert here grins of two pleased authors*
Thank you for this comment, it is as always a pleasure!

Date: 2011-05-14 07:05 pm (UTC)Well, yeah, we figured it would be weird to have whore!Jin and then show him sleeping with nobody but Kame. Boy needs to earn a living!
strange reading a scene like that in which there's no tension, no build up, no paranoia
YOU WERE BORED, ADMIT IT!! ;D
Nah, we just figured people (and Jin) needed a breather. And also, plot needs to happen. ;p
Jin's family... it's complicated. You'll see. They certainly weren't an alternative for him, or he'd have taken it.
I miss Kame, bastard though he is.
OMG you're the second person to say that. Gluttons for punishment, all of you. Totally M. Here, have a toppy!Kame icon.

Date: 2011-05-14 07:15 pm (UTC)Actually, the scene with Yamatani squicked me just a tiny bit because of the age difference, especially so soon after the talk with his family. Even though Jin is definitely of age (if I remember correctly) there was something strange about reading him with someone much older, even if Yamatani is much nicer to him than Kame. I think that's what I was incoherently trying to say when I said the Jin/Kame dynamic seems *normal* to me. So no, not boring. Just strange. Um. Yeah. :D
Maybe I am an M, when it comes to Kame. Wait. What.
(no subject)
Date: 2011-05-14 07:27 pm (UTC)OMG Kame has brainwashed you.
you're even ahead of Jin thereWell, we'll be back to normal in a while... ;-)Kame has that effect on people. Embrace it. Resistance is futile.

Date: 2011-05-14 07:43 pm (UTC)I came to this already brainwashed... What resistance? XD

Date: 2011-05-13 06:51 am (UTC)I felt that the pair of you were trying to provide us some knowledge of Jin's past and provide us an image of himself with Yamatani providing a contrast with how he is with Kame.
And it truly perplexes with why Jin would rather be with older Yamatani (Kame fangirl alert) though I can understand it. Jin wants it easy and simple to be someone who provides some warmth and Kame is just someone who seems to be into torture as sexual pleasure for Jin.And Jin actually does take the initiative to be more touchy and have nice conversations behind doors. When you see him interact with Yuuya you can see that Jin doesn't really like bondage. Let me face it, Kame is a tyrant. lol. XD
But on the side, there is just something fishy to note about Jin.
1. Was he expecting Kame to appear? If not why was he even scanning for him?
2. Why was Jin wondering if Kame was a gift giving type?
Seems like Jin knows Kame is interested in him somewhat and expects to seek him out whenever they meet. I wonder what would have happened if Kame had turned up that day. Would Jin decline Kame? What would happen if Kame chose Tatsuya infront of Jin.Would there have been jealousy?
Shall look forward to the next update!~ Thanks for sharing this. XD
(no subject)
Date: 2011-05-14 07:21 pm (UTC)You and Kame are in agreement then. It's All Jin's Fault. *g*
Why Jin?? Why do you hate Kame so much?
Jin says: "I hate him because he frightened the shit out of me and tied me up when he knew I hated it, and he acts like an entitled asshole and like I'm dirt under his shoe, and I don't even know what his fucking problem with me is."
But you could also say that they are just... incompatible. :)
I felt that the pair of you were trying to provide us some knowledge of Jin's past and provide us an image of himself with Yamatani providing a contrast with how he is with Kame.
You may have found out our hidden motives? ;-) But, yeah, as much as Jin thinks about that Kamenashi guy a lot, he also has other things in his life going on (like, earning a living) and we figured it would be unrealistic to leave all that out.
Jin wants it easy and simple to be someone who provides some warmth and Kame is just someone who seems to be into torture as sexual pleasure for Jin. And Jin actually does take the initiative to be more touchy and have nice conversations behind doors.
Yes. When he likes a client, he tries harder to make them feel welcome. And for Jin, liking a client is not so much about whether they're hot and good-looking (though it helps) but about how they treat him. And Kame hasn't really treated him at all well. >.<
He's not looking to fall in love with a client, but someone who treats him with respect, or, as you say, warmth, and just sees him as a person... that works much better for Jin, really.
When you see him interact with Yuuya you can see that Jin doesn't really like bondage. Let me face it, Kame is a tyrant. lol. XD
You have put it in a nutshell. *g*
As for your speculations... well.
1. Kame might show up anytime, so Jin can't ever be sure he won't appear.
2. Good question. He just can't get him out of his head, we guess. ;D
It's hard to say what Jin would have done if Kame had showed up. He knows what he wants to do, but that doesn't always work out. :D
Thanks so much for this detailed comment and the interesting points you raised. That makes it so much more fun for us! Hope you enjoy next week too!
